Anyway to get around dragon riding?

Type “mot” in the search box and…

you dont have it fully unlocked, you hate the start of it. Unlock all the additions and see it how it goes. it is way faster but u cant just afk

Sorry to hear the news.

Thank you. I really appreciate it and will try it after work. Here’s hoping that it’ll alleviate my nausea.

If you suck at it, then maybe you should do something called PRACTICE. Oh my god, what about the concept of practice is so hard to understand? The more to do it, the better you get at it and the more you start to enjoy it. If people like you keep trashing things without giving them a fair shot, you’re never gonna like anything. Anywhere.

Actually, I am, when it’s on a timer. Especially with all this lag, my mouse gets me turned around going the other way quite frequently. Quest keeps timing out while I try to get back facing the correct way. Not all of us are using top of the line computer equipment and perfect hands and coordination.

and now that I’ve done it and progressed (in my slow way) into the game some more… Yeah it isn’t avoidable. You need it to get around in any fashion at all… There are so many “Levels” to the terrain.

Ima be real chief

I did not like dragonriding originally, it just felt like a chore

However, moment you unlock it, go around and collect every glyph

When that things maxed out, it just feels like regular flying but way faster at the cost of occasionally hitting 1

definitely integrated flight into the content, lol…just like many of us were screaming for.
I gotta hand it to Ion on this one. other than a couple really controlling decisions yet again, he and the teams did a great job onthis one

yeah. after using it for a bit it becomes second nature. Hoping the wife works out like that too. Its different, but a blast flying in at high speed and trying to stick a landing on some small spot lol

He did give them what they asked for…

I missed your reply last time I read the thread.

Man, if they had copied the Griffin instead of the Skyscale (and made it even more sluggish) that would have been ideal. The Griffin is sooooo much more fun to fly. A lot of the complaints about the DR controls being sluggish and boring and such would disappear if they just made the damned thing more maneuverable and responsive. I remember reading in beta that they killed an API info that people were using to make a attitude indicator because Blizz didn’t want people to have that much info about level flight and use the stupid vapor trails from the wings exclusively. WT-actual-F?

lol… Im not sure we were expecting him to screw with flight this much though

It seems like it is a real issue for people with some conditions or who are differently abled.

Suggesting get it fully unlocked and then it would be ok is not a solution when sometimes it seems they cant get past the initial quests - and soloing the glyphs is harder than that. One solution would be if kind people let them hitch a ride through all the glyphs - but this is unlikely in the first few weeks of the expansion. A second solution would be some sort of exemption system whereby they were given the talents or could access flying mounts in locations where this was necessary. While this might work best it would be costly to administer and open to abuse.

It’s not “still early” its literally less than 24 hours from launch. Maybe just learn how to use the new system? it isn’t very challenging.

All I keep hearing in this thread from people “against” Dragon riding is WAH it’s HARD!

I played in beta. Seemed like a short campaign where you had to do it, then you can choose to use a ground mount, or the “Flight Master” network to travel. Which is just like EVERY SINGLE expansion we’ve ever had. Except this time they give you an option to fly from the beginning! Without having to wait a year or more.

And naturally some of you are gonna whine that it’s HARD! If you are physically unable to do it because of handicaps, there are probably a LOTS of things in MANY games that you can’t do.

I’m not trying to be insensitive but really, it’s a very short part of the campaign where the quests require achievements in flying. Muddle through it and then hang up your Dragon riding and use the other options.

It’s not bad. I enjoy it. It can be annoying, sure, but it’s definitely a good feature.

One nice thing, while you wait for fly power to recharge you can catch up on house hold chores.

it does charge in flight if you nose down slightly

Not helpful going over a hill.
