I like it. I think it’s a great addition and I hope they adopt it outside of just the Dragon Isles. I also hope we get more dragon models than just the four. I was hoping for a LOT more unique appearances than what was actually delivered. That’s my primary complaint. When you fill out the tree with the glyphs, dragon riding is super smooth, has pretty much the same convenience as flying other than afk flight, and is so much faster to get around with.
I don’t get the hate other than it’s new and different. Change is terrifying, amirite?
I’m not a fan of it right now. I’m also very bad at it. I hate trying to get to higher places and not having enough speed and slowly eking my way up to the edge of the cliff to fall backwards like a paper airplane. But yeah, the old grouch in me doesn’t like it at the moment.
That crowd could have had their fun without cutting off everyone else’s, and considering how many people are saying they love DR and never want to use old flying again, it’s hard to believe that if give the choice tomorrow they’d all suddenly flip sides and go back to old style because they can hover.
Don’t even need to do that, I have a perfectly good mouse sitting in another room. I just don’t usually sit where it’d be convenient to use one and I don’t really feel like learning how to play this game all over again after this long.
I haven’t raided since Wraith was retail but completed the Order hall campaign for all classes and specs. Do not presume to tell me what part of the game I have to engage with, that is my decision to make not yours.
But thanks for the irritation, I have decided to do at least one of my characters in Player Challenge: No DR mode and see how far I can get.
Motor skill issues? Maybe. The reason why I say maybe is because nothing about dragon riding is so involved that it requires an absurd amount of motor skills. If you’re playing this game and you’re aiming your camera around/pressing the buttons on your rotation/moving your character around, dragon riding isn’t any more complex than that.
Watching someone do something and actually doing it is very different, especially when it involves fine control and causes issues like motion sickness for some.
I’m going to be honest here. I don’t think a game should change for a small amount of people who can’t do it.
Sometimes things change, and not for the better for someone. So you can ask Blizzard to find better ways to help you so you can enjoy it, However, if they can’t. That is understandable this version of wow is just not for you. Come back when they do add flying in a year, but right now? This game should be not changed for a small amount of people who are having issue. Sorry that is just not reasonable.
What’s entitled about giving feedback on which system I prefer instead of changing everything about how I play to adjust to this system after almost 2 decades?
Is it really that much of a problem for you to have other people playing the way they enjoy when you’re still able to do what you want?
Edit : it’s ok if you used the system, learned and adjusted you gameplay to try and maximise it and discover you don’t like it. but straight up ‘i dont want to so it’s bad’ is entitlement
I like dragon riding. I like having to choose when it’s a good time to fly or save it. It feels more immersive to me, as regular flying is just a press of a button and mindless.
I’m getting really good at gaining back height and speed, the deep canyons spaces over water are fun to soar on.
