Great ideas. I love questing in the old areas. I think it would be great to focus on them again with different quest lines and maybe a new city and areas.
A chill expansion where the PC’s settle down, buy houses, and the final boss is the home owners association.

I’m kinda tired of fighting universe-level threatening enemies. Game was way better in Pandaria when we were beating some weird bugs, a resurrected king with his troll and beast minions and finally a siege in a cool city.
Killing gods is stupid.

Personally I can agree with the whole “don’t need one main enemy” but screw going back to azeroth or other old fashioned fantasy. Have the brokers send us to various other planets, lets have each zone be a different planet with its own ancient evil to defeat. As for borrowed power, sure introduce new borrowed power, but let us have the old ones back too. Let me choose if i want the heart of azeroth, covenant powers, a legion artifact etc rather than forcing me to only use the most recent one, i get to pick which one i use. Though obviously the old ones would have to be updated a bit due to things like artifact relics, azerite armor etc not quite working as a “permanent” feature.
So like handling the aftermath of siege of Lordaeron and finally giving Gilneas back to the worgen, shaman coming in to rebuild the land and maybe idk expand it for the night elves to not be overcrowding the gilneans or idk… an agreement for a new world tree somewhere near Gilneas so they can’t be ambushed again. Undead… hmm… still not sure where the forsaken would move to. Lordaeron keep maybe getting cleaned up and steadily rebuilt maybe… Calia maybe allowing the forsaken to live under the city again…

I think a way to revamp old zones would be to simply increase the size along with the revamp. Elwynn Forest is still Elwynn but it’s expanded to include leveling content as well as space for new stories or even max level content.
I also think they could merge some zones together. WPL/EPL into Lordaeron or something. Badlands, Burning Steppes, Searing Gorge could have the mountains knocked down to open up something potentially great. There’s way too many zones unused for leveling which could easily be revamped into a great max level or new expansion leveling zone.
I love the way that sounds. They should do something with that. 
I mean I enjoyed all the non sylvanas stuff in Shadowlands. But yeah I do miss Pandaria questing.
It was fun to see basically our murder hobos try to understand farming. Like we’re so on edge after Jade Forest and the pandaren afterwards basically nudged us to thinking about vegetables. It was actually a nice way to decompress
Yes. And I would so love to NOT be the hero. It’s an MMO not an RPG. We’re the heroes of Azeroth.
