i like this. i was thinking of an expansion similar to mists of pandaria where you explore the dragon isles and uncover it’s secrets. all while exploring and facing new foes.

Yes! I would love an expansion that reformed our world, made it something old school again in a way - but I’d like to see the old world updated - nicer textures, trees, maybe a bit of weather - really be able to dive into the fantasy immersion. That’d be great.

I’d love for something clearly tied to Azeroth that’s a place I can fully immerse myself. I may have despised the faction conflict in BfA but the zones were great and I could sit in Boralus for hours and be happy.
With regards to revamping the old zones. It’s silly to think nothing has been done to fix all the damage. It would be a great way for races to work together.

My response whenever someone says this is always “As long as Zidormi is in each zone to go back to past version” 
But with that out of the way I do approve of a chill xpac.

Zidormi is a must. Im never in favor of removing older content.
I suspect not being able to go back to the original vanilla zones was the main reason for the general dislike of the Cata revamp

My idea is to separate expansions with content patches similar tot he way AQ and Naxx were added in Vanilla. Examples:
After 9.x expansion series, 10.0 would revamp Teldrassil. 10.1 would revamp Northrend. 10.2 would revamp Silvermoon. Etc etc etc. Relegate any old raids/instances to Timewalking so collectors and nostalgic players can still experience them without them cluttering the current narrative game environment.
This gives content to keep MAU’s up between major expansions, updates old zones to make them relevant, and gives more time for design, development, testing/polishing, and implementation of new narrative, systems, and content.
Win/win for both casual players and end game raiders, the development teams, and the shareholders that are only worried about MAU’s.
In short, I just want an expansion that expands the game for once - I’m so tired of that reset button, especially when we’re actively having progress rendered utterly moot.

I keep getting sidetracked with stuff I’m working on in game but I was thinking about this thread yesterday and I really like the idea 
I had concerns about “who would we fight?” but we have plennnnty of life on Azeroth to build content with. It’s not like Azeroth is Pleasantville and we have to go off to fight things, there’s plenty to fight at home too.
I would have liked to have seen the sl zones before they were in peril. Ever since cata they haven’t known how to make natural beauty that isn’t screwed over in some way. I blame the sylvie aesthetic.
