I use class halls as a hub. They incorporate class fantasy and had mogs based around em, you could do something with cities to. Halls had mission table alrdy etc.
I liked class halls but agreed im not everyone lol

Im not understanding dumping resources into leveling content when its a thing thats like one and done.
Theres a multitude of ways to lvl now. But max level is where the balance and players congregate.
Sure some ppl chain level characters but if i were to hazard a guess those folks are the minority. The time to fix all of it to be something interesting is probably way more than the end game focus. Threads of fate was created to give an option from the normal leveling process.
Engaging max level world content is the better time investment which is my argument.
And I say it’s this approach that has created the need for metrics based decision making, leading to many of the current complaints regarding gameplay. There is no reason, for the long term health of the game, that the leveling experience cannot be made enjoyable through concentrated efforts on revamping and revitalizing the leveling experience while still addressing end game content. Focusing on one or the other is a recipe for short term profit and a sooner than necessary death to the game.
I hate how true this is.
MoP had amazing zones and lore. Now we gotta save the world from a Macguffin, using other Macguffins, every year.
I remember the forums when Mists was announced.
They were . . . pretty bad. Everyone was screaming about how “pandas are childish” and “it’s an expansion for furries!” and “I hate the chinese aesthetic and it doesn’t belong in WoW”
Honestly, it was my second favorite expansion.
You’re hired. Now please get to work.
I dunno. A chill expansion sounds nice, but I’m not interested in faction storylines anymore, or how the current races are doing. I’d rather just sail off to another new zone like the Dragon Isles, or them inventing a new island / continent wholesale to go there.
Any content will have metrics associated with it.
But tbh idk what your revamp looks like. But i remember more raids and dungeons and end game experiences then I do quest lines from over the years and i started late vanilla
No thanks. I don’t want some boring MMO. MMOs are all about grinds and anyone who thinks these grinds are bad obviously haven’t been playing WoW that long because Vanilla, BC and MoP to name a few expansions had WAYYYYYYY worse grinds and also had end game of only Raiding or PvP.
I like new systems. Sure, not all have been ideal but I wouldn’t want some boring mmo where you don’t have to do much in.
Also, developing an mmo takes a lot and not sure if you are expecting tons of content but it would be impossible to supply that if you remove all the things that actually keep people subbed.
I’m not sure I could see them doing “leveling revamps,” but perhaps an expansion where the new content takes place in phased versions of classical zones. Yes, you can do the Bronze Dragon thing to see the old version, but 60-70 would still be taking place in the original zones. Basically, Eternal Val/Uldum from the end of BfA, but done with the full budget and investment of an expansion, rather than a rushed closing for one.
They’d have to do a lot to make that much revisitation stand up vs. brand new zones with all the novelty therein, however.
I want an expansion where there is alot to do in the Open World.
this sounds awfully familiar to a mix of wrath of the lich king, cataclysm, wod, bfa, and legion combined into one ugly abomination.
Yes, I am patiently waiting to return to Northrend in Wrath classic.
They did this in Cataclysm and I feel it was a complete failure. The end-game zones were spread too far apart. The revamp of old zones completely destroyed the feeling of those zones.
And now with the changes in Shadowlands, these zones are all worthless except for nostalgia. If anyone even feels nostalgia for these revamped zones.
I think the main problem with Cata revamp was that most of the zones were damaged and became associated with “Deathwing did this, Deathwing did that.”
With this new revamp, things are built up again and not focused around one black dragon’s temper tantrum.
After reading some of the comments, i think there should be a max level hub somewhere where players would congregate, just that now you got many more places to level up to max instead of the 4 zones that you typically get with a new expansion.
A lot of people like a central hub. I never understood why. They tend to be crowded, laggy, and boring. Nothing is going on. Is it really fun to sit in the same place on a mount for hours? I rarely visited Dalaran and visit Oribos even less.
I would really prefer completely new zones in an expansion. Not something that I have explored for a decade and a half already. There is nothing exciting about revisiting old zones and dungeons.
Had the chance to make zones like Kalimdor, and Eastern Kingdoms somewhat relevant in Legion, and BFA imo. They could of had a Legion invasion, and faction assaults happen in either of those zones randomly during those two expansions. Raiders would go nuts without some evil pixelated instanced npc to fight though lol. Make it happen blizz lol. So yeah the chance of chill expansion are slim to none with a raid or die lead dev.
Ancient Kalimdor.
We lose against the Jailer. But a la X-MEN Days of Future Past, the hero is sent back in time at the last minute to undo some mistake made that set these events in motion but allows everything up to Legion to occur
Your opinion doesn’t matter, only his. Who do you think you are, an equally opinionated paying consumer just like him?
Blasphemy!
Damn, I misread this as chili and got excited.
I am hungry.
