Objectively most of BFAs systems are worthless unless your shooting for AoTC or some such.
Even if you have them it simply isn’t worth the time and investment to do it again since Blizzard just tears it all away to replace it with the newer system.
Anything of worth you can do now till SLs is collect mounts, mogs and pets.
it’s too much so i just dont do it. I prefer spending my limited game time on collection type things , old fishing achieves, or leveling a new toon. I have no idea why fishing in game is so calming but its more fun to me than going through the cloak quest chain
There’s too much to bother with. I tried a little bit with an alt once then lost interest halfway through the cloak grind. Gonna be better in Shadowlands right?
I just ignore content I don’t want to do on my alts. Sure they suffer a bit, especially in their hit point pools, but in a few months the cloaks and essences will be useless.
The only thing that keeps me from leveling my alts is Legion. I’d level through BFA 3 times if it meant that I could skip legion.
Even moreso now than before. Why spend months building out corruptions when it’s going to be deleted right after anyway?
I’m at the point where I don’t have a main. Once shadowlands rolls around I’ll have a couple of mains and several alts. Currently trying to get enthusiastic about leveling my alliance paladin… and failing. Maybe use that boost.
As for 8.3 content; log in and check WQs with maybe nyalotha on sunday.
You should have to put in equal amounts of work on an alt if you want it to be as powerful as a main.
Got same feeling, I did level up a couple of alts and to be honest it is not that terrible for the most part, still, I cant stomach the cloak part, I decided for SL ill play only one class (druid) and ill make 4 druid characters, 1 for each covenant, so only reason to play alts right now is to get them ready for SL, not going to bother to get them up to speed being only months away from next xpac
Thank you for the sound advice. I’m sure no one has ever considered that in order to have 2 characters with the same power level, that you’d have to do the same work twice.
I did it on 4, got Mad World on 4 characters too.

As of yesterday, I decided I’ll drop it down to the characters I’m wanting to main in the coming patch aka only my Monk/Demom Hunter. I’m very happy with my decision.
But was it easy to maintain? Yep besides your main you only need to do your weekly. Everything else you can just get by playing the game and buying with Echoes.

If they’d just remove the entry fee to running visions, I wouldn’t mind so much…
But, ugh. Do invasions to collect essences to run a vision to get echoes to… like, it’s just too much work for me to keep up with.
I’ll do all this with my main, but my alts will never have more than a 5 cloak.

I think it’d be fun for the pre patch if they gave our alts fully leveled necklaces and cloaks. Kinda like they did at the end of legion.
In previous expansions I used to play alts a lot in bgs, I’d gather some rudimentary PvP gear from crafting and grind til I could buy my honour weapon, then have fun learning the class and gearing it up over the next few weeks, only queueing for the content I enjoy (BGs).
While legion templates were a step down from MoP WoDs 3 tier PvP gear system (Crafted, Honour, Conquest), it was still workable. BFA however has been a shambles.
Would be cool if they let people get corruptions from the vendor for ridiculously cheap too. Just let people go hog wild for a month or so before the pre patch deletes it.
It’s not just you. I dont even want to continue gearing this char. I put in my hours for my ilvl, but it’s all meaningless without grinding hundreds of hours for sockets, echoes, corruption resist. Jesus christ I put in the effort and I just want to play the content I find fun.

Tried it today. So this this was half as “painful” lol. But the desert one was the bug one. I hate the bug one…so this still got its doses on pain in on me.
But vale skip saved some mad time. So now the warrior is basic cloaked up. Since why not…should save some time in old raid spam.
