There is something wrong on tich we cant get out valdrakain and when we tried to use a portal it took about 1 5mins after clicking before it worked.

Last night myself and several other people were stuck in a long loading screen for Freehold. When I quit the client and tried to log back in, I was getting an error “A character with this name already exists.” I eventually had to use the BattleNet character stuck feature to get back in.

All week I also have been lagging on loading screens sometimes to the point of having to force quit. Freehold was also the worst offender for me and I was locked out of my character for several minutes with the “A character already exists…” error.
The other people I was with the group in had the same thing happen so I know it was not just me.
Yep, character already exists on multiple characters in different zones, stuck logins, you name it. Been ok 'till today. Today it’s unusable.

We had two people that couldn’t raid with us tonight because they dced when coming into the instance portal and it kept saying they were online.

I am in draenor phasing from garrison to shipyard, stuck until i disconnect been happening for the last week. just happened now, will try again tomorrow.

Guess I’ll go farm old stuff for mats & mogs while I hover over the Unsub button…

All day long whenever I zoned in to OG from Dal, it would load 3/4 and freeze. I would have to alt+F4 and start the game over. If I tried to log in same character, I get the “Character already exists”. I then have to log onto an alt, the exit game from game menu. Then RESTART again, and then I can log in.
I thought it was a fluke at first, but the 3rd time it happened I knew it was gremlins in the system.

Chiming in I’ve been having this problem on MG, especially with one character.
Would be nice if it was acknowledged. Really don’t want this to get worse or continue happening. Just an “investigating it guys and gals” from Blizz would be nice.

chiming in; couldnt get on to do my scheduled push keys tonight because our warrior couldn’t log in. I got the issues after trying to port to brackenhide and now my guild roster is showing 4 of my alts as online just from trying to sign into all my 70’s to see if I could get my hunter back online. I’ve heard people having intermittent connection issues for the better half of the week and haven’t seen anything from blizzard on the matter

‘Character already exists’ problem disappeared for one toon, presumably after timing out, but now having the issue with another toon…

Seems like there may be a specific issue with the Dragon Isles.
I can log into all my characters that are NOT currently in that area, but all of my characters that are get stuck in the loading screen when trying to log in.
My Demon Hunter and Rogue are both in Waking Shores and cannot log in.
My Warlock and Evoker are both in Stormwind and can log in without issue.

I had two random disconnects while flying today. That’s about par for the course for a long play session.
It’s been quite a while since I last had a character get stuck unable to log back in for a few minutes. It has happened from time to time this expansion but no sign of it today for me. (knock on wood)

I have a lot of healers, currently have 4 stuck online and unable to access.

I can’t seem to sign in on my main, which sucks. I picked a random old alt standing in Dalaran and it let me in, so there’s something weird going on with chars in the dragon isles.

managed to get this character extracted without D/C’ing due to lag, but Alliance mage got stuck. Does seem like it’s an issue with dragon isle. Hopefully by time I get back from going to gas station for some frozen horchata and snacks It’ll be back.

Also, I think it’s more specific servers. When friends invited me and got me sharded to illidan, Valdrakken suddenly became fine.

The last few days I’ve been having long load times when portaling around honoring/extinguishing flames with my partner. Oddly enough, he has been having no issues. Tonight I’m out farming Consortium rep in Netherstorm on my alt and she has been stuck in game for a bit over an hour now. No amount of logging around, restarting, scan and repair or WTF-folder dancing seems to help.
I assume she is tired of the farm and wants to just Netherstorm and chill for a few.
