Trying to from up guild runs tonight. We have at least 5-6 people trying to get in. I was experiencing the same earlier

Just went to log in tonight, and stuck on loading screen after character select. 
Yeah, lot of funky stuff going on as of late.
I can login on any character that wasn’t in Valdrakken – If they’re in Valdrakken, then no dice (Stuck on loading screen or told that a character with that name already exists)-- Unstuck bit on self-service does nothing either

Cant log into Valdrakken as well, i think the world server is down for dragon isles.
Same issue with a lot of our guild. Logging in for the first time to a character gets the full loading bar and then music stops, and never gets all the way in. Happening to guildies who are in mythics as they load in and out of them, etc.
Can confirm it’s Valdrakken characters or DF characters. My couple lvl 70s can’t log in in Valdrakken, but my lowbies in Stormwind and Orgrimmar can all log in.
Just tried it and it works. Loading in is a bit slow though. Now I’m going to get all my characters out of Valdrakken.
Looks like they did something in the background. Characters starting to be able to log in, without restarting PC
Had that less than an hour ago. Then got the message that a character with that name exists. Logged onto and alt and it sorted itself out.
But yeah, OP, there some weird things happening this past week with the game.

I got on the forums to see if anyone else has been experiencing technical issues. Thankfully I am not alone as my brothers and I have been experiencing issues the last week or two. Disconnects, lag to some degree, old raids such as the Siege of Orgrimmar one where we could not go down the pipes to the one Goblin boss (Name escapes me currently).
I myself have experienced times where teleporting to Stormwind and Ironforge via portals makes me go to the loading screen only for it to fill up around 80-90% and then stop until much time later I then decide to end the task via Task Manager.

All of the above and it’s been getting worse all week. To the point that M+ keys are basically unplayable.

I have been getting these 2-3 second total lag outs consistently throughout the day for a week now. I have a suspicion that if it isn’t just on my end, this may be a regional internet issue. Sometimes certain regions have routing problems on the high level of internet exchange that cause problems like this, but people outside that region are unaffected.
I have to assume this because clearly many of us are seeing these problems, but not everyone is. I’m often the only person, or one of only a few, in my LFR runs who is experiencing the lag.

I’ve been trying to login to my priest who hearthed to Valdrakken. Permanent loading screen until I dc. Try logging in again, permanent loading screen until I dc. I can Alt+F4 and login to other characters, but if I try my priest in Valdrakken it has consistently been unable to login. This is so frustrating. Earlier in the week it was just trying to zone into Freehold that did this, now it’s Valdrakken.
And of course, I don’t login to this website much and it defaulted me to a level 14. Cool.
Just got that AGAIN (2nd time in an hour). Same druid toon. In Valdrakken. Same result - “A character with that name exists”…
I really have to wonder why Microsoft wants anything to do with this excrement show anymore.
Just when I thought it was fixed. Stuck at 80% loading again
There seems to be an issue specifically with characters logged in Valdrakken currently…

An hour an 20 minutes of permanent loading screens and disconnects, I’m finally back in game. ;o;

Yes, if “gameplay disruptions” = not being able to play any toon sitting in Valdrakken.
Anyone experience the ‘can’t login’ or ‘character already exists’ problem with zones other than Valdrakken?
