Would love to dump my gold and items into it, but I don’t because I don’t feel like logging in to to find my items and gold vaporized through no fault of my own.
Sure would be nice if Blizzard would come out and tell us the corrective actions they’re taking to prevent future bank wipes of any type.
I’m not gonna use it unless I have no choice.
I’ve been just fine using my regular bank and shifting things around as needed, and unless that suddenly starts eating my items like the warbank apparently has I’m just gonna keep on as I am.
Guild banks got wiped because of the transition to cross realm guilds. Warband banks won’t have this issue since they are already built with this functionality.
so far, knock on wood, Ive not had any problem with the warbank.
The guild bank hasnt lost anything but seems sketchy moving stuff in and out of it from time to time
the warbank seems to be Bnet wide…hopefully it wasnt just a bug…I was able to get into it on a different WoW account on my main bnet.
If thats intentional definitely gonna make it a lot more useful than I thought it might be
For me one of the best uses of the warbank is the ability to use it to buy or sell items on any server in the region.
I wanted a particular pattern which was very pricey on my server. Checked out the item on other servers, found one where it was selling for like a quarter of the price, made a toon there, took money out of the warbank and purchased it, put it into the bank and voila, my main character had the pattern at a reasonable price.
I rarely use it for current materials as the crafting system is very clunky when using mats from there. Yes, I know there are ways to make it work right but on the whole I prefer to have a crafter who needs consumables having the consumables in their own main bank reagent tab, so I know that what I need for that character is right there.
I will probably eventually start moving all my useful old mats onto the warbank for things like mog crafting because that provides a central resource for multiple crafters who only need the stuff now and then. I also store BoA items in it for new characters to draw on.
It certainly isn’t, for me, the storage system I thought it would be and I’m rather glad I didn’t gert more than the initial 3 tabs I got.
I screenshot my tabs frequently just in case, but otherwise my only issue is the way they get sorted. I’d love to be able to set it to receive only TWW items and mats.
I only use it to move gold to servers I want to buy something on, but the gold in there seems useless otherwise. I’d rather put it in my personal guild bank so I can at least repair using it.
And it doesn’t even work half the time for crafting or is a pain to get it to work so why bother using it for that either. I thought with the warband I would be able to deposit all those old mats like expulsom and tidalcore I don’t need on my alts but desperately need on my crafting toons, but haha no, those stayed soulbound.
Also yeah, after losing all of my items in my guild bank, not trusting it.
Not really. Even if they said that they will restore all items from now on and super-duper promised with no fingers crossed behind their backs this time for realsies, I wouldn’t believe them.
We need stronger legislation protecting digital property. The only thing that will fix this is the ability to sue and a high probability of winning if there’s evidence, when they delete stuff.
