I stopped playing the Horde when I was harassed constantly and bullied with death threats for being gay by multiple servers of Horde players after I switched many times to find a new community.

The bullying and harassment is not a problem I deal with today playing Alliance, but on Horde It was a challenge to avoid it.

I prefer Alliance but played Horde because around 2014 with the model updates some people at Blizzard went out of their way to remove all the dark skin options from the races. None of my characters could look the the same as they had for years, and rolling human was “Whites Only”, so even though I didn’t want to switch, I had no choice. I still prefer Alliance, but now there seems to be a male/female divide between the factions, and all the women playing Alliance won’t be discussing min/maxing or making PvP groups.

I am sorry this has happened to you and it should never happen. I do have some advice though.

Look into the Proudmore server (as Alliance). Proudmoore is the “unofficial” LGBTQ friendly server. I am not even joking. Its been this way for years. Its also VERY Alliance heavy. 87% roughly.

I just want you to have the best gaming experience possible and this may help.

played horde first i believe, got bullied so i swapped to alli. only when my friends quit that i went back to horde. time difference from 1st time and this time was many years apart. now im debating if i want to try alliance again. my friends quit again and probably for good. only reason i wont commit to alliance is because i hear a lot of negative things when it comes to them and pugging. i pug a lot of my content so i need reliable pug groups at all hours especially due to where i live ( time zone issue usually 3 hours behind pst )

i just might though i mean im not really doing much rn on horde side anyway and there is literally only 2 guilds i can raid with on my entire server due to schedule. pug scene is just hell in general even on horde side. might have lots more groups yea but how many are willing to take you? i get declined a lot depending why. usually low ilvl, or not having a certain achievement like when im trying to get aotc and they require aotc but don’t even state it in the post

If you do? Do it on Stormrage. The game will be dead Before Stormrage is. Its always Hoppin even at 4am

sadly i can’t i live in Hawaii i am forced to play on PST servers especially due to latency and time zone difference. i think most popular PST alliance serve there is that i know of at least is proudmoore.

Look into Frostmourne then. Its the same as Stormrage (98% Ally) and super high pop but its an Oceanic realm. If PST is the only problem however Stormrage will still be fine my friend. Its Hopping 24/7. I played on Stormrage while living in Alaska just fine. Frostmourne had a little less lag. When I moved back to the lower 48 I moved all my toons from there to Stormrage

stormrage is 5-6 hours ahead. latency little bit higher but seems managable. AU servers cannot latency is too high it’s really bad just doing anything. this why i play PST it’s only 2-3 hours ahead so time is managable for my days off/work schedule.

I also can’t seem to play on the Red team. I have a fluffy Fox and a BE on that side…but I never play them for long.

I just don’t like the towns on the other side, the lore just never meshed with me that much…not that there aren’t really cool bits here and there.

Donno, always end up going team Blue…even if the world is empty. Play what you like

Doesn’t matter. I know people who raid at 4am on Stormrage and also others who do it at 3pm. Its literally hopping 24/7. Stormrage is and ally version of Area52. Both servers have many more players than tich. They are the 2 highest pop servers in wow atm. They LIETERALLY have guilds running things 24/7.

I started playing in BC on horde, it wasn’t until I owned my own account that I switched to alliance. every once in a while I play horde just to get some achievements like the double agent or whatever, but I never really invested myself into the effort.

I HATE their cities/zones

Horde races are way more interesting in my opinion, but their cities and zones always have color palettes that don’t appeal to me (UC/Lordaeron is cool actually). Generally horde aesthetic is garbage outside of their actual races and if I’m spending so much time playing something having an aesthetic that I can vibe with is important to me.

BUT that being said, I have always found interest in some of the alliance races. Although I have never leveled one. I would level one as horde if there was a faction ripcord pulled. However, I would be hanging out in IF/Stormwind. Lets gooooo

Since I first started playing back in '06, none of the Horde characters ever really appealed to me.

For some reason I am a fan of the Worgen back story. My character load screen almost looks like a kennel, with a few exceptions here and there.

I do have a Belf and a Forsaken that I think are, like, level 9 or something. I couldn’t really get into them.
