Wrong, you’re making assumptions based on personal bias. Do you have a case study that shows dual spec improved player subs directly? Personal qol varies from player to player and your views are just that, yours, not mine, If one person that pays a sub feels the feature degrades their experience it must be logged as a con regardless of whether you agree or not with the reason. Of course you stonewall and strawman #nochanges and tout the hvh bgs which is just more proof that these changes fix one thing only to break another and have the same effect on turning players away from content they were trying to save.
Convenience improvements are inherently quality of life, even if they’re not viewed as such by 100% of the population.
Dual Spec verifiably (see: Wrath and Cata) encourages more play as people tend to seek gear for their offspec a bit more seriously, make use of their offspec more often, etc. It need not encourage more play in every player, nor must it encourage more play beyond some arbitrary threshold.
Dual Spec has no downsides as it merely takes an existing mechanic (spec change) and makes it more convenient to perform if you pay the upfront gold sink. Any downside it can “bring” is already present. A guild that demands you swap from boss to boss in Wrath would be the same kind of guild (and weird raid comp) that would port you out and summon you back in TBC or Vanilla. We know from Wrath that having DS isn’t necessary to complete the content or even competitively complete the content. No fights are designed around having all your Tanks go DPS or Healers to swap to DPS or vice versa.
So I’m not really sure where you think you can stand saying there are no provable facts.
Actually no it wasn’t, 4.0 was the first prepatch for Cata so it doesn’t count as part of wrath, and that flexible raid system was when they merged 10/25 mans and when thy changed lockouts to individual lockouts per player instead per raid id. Not when they merged normal/heroic.
From launch ICC and RS, had a raid toggle for 10/25 man(2 lockouts per week, the same as naxx, ulduar, OS and Maly ) and then you toggled difficulty per encounter. ToC had 4 raid toggles 10 normal/10heroic/25 normal/25 heroic(4 lockouts per week). It was the only raid that functioned that way in wrath. And it was so unpopular ICC launched with encounter level toggles for difficulty not a separate lockout.
Numbers and links to the studies, that is proof, not your assumption logic. Convenience is not qol, it’s laziness and entitlement, I don’t need endgame content to be happy playing, Qol is getting my grandmaster arena trinket on my twink after a month of camping the chest, super inconvenient but a huge qol accomplishment that only exists due to its difficulty in obtaining. As far as encouraging more play that total bs, your gonna be running the same dungeons just now your gonna be stuck with a dps, switching spec just to get into group regardless of knowing how to tank. As far as offspec gear goes its already a thing and very prevalent in existing groups, you say no downsides but you ignore them and turn to insults.
Sorry if I question your deductive abilities, but reason nor logic is proof. Yes, I want charts and data rather than personal assertions based on unrelated fluff.
I wasn’t talking to you or about you. You’ve chosen to take the comment I made to someone else as a personal attack.
Yes I mocked you for doing that. You’ve just blown a gasket taking some neutral comment I made that’s not even addressed to you or about you as a personal insult. LOL. You deserve to be mocked.
For your own sanity absorb this fact: Not every comment people make that you don’t agree with is about you nor is it a personal attack. I think about you basically never, and my comment was not about you in the slightest. Chill a bit.
Me: “Hey Corpseknife how’s it going, here’s some of my thoughts about your post?”
Feywalf: “You’re post is a diversion tactic intent on abusing and insulting me with passive aggressive lies about me!!!”
ROFL! My comment had nothing to do with you - AT ALL. I’m not even in the debate at this point (vacated it months ago), couldn’t care a less if dual spec got put in or not now. It was a throwaway observation in response to someone else’s post.
Idk, that sounds like it’s a personal attack to Feywalf.
Oh wait, I had my “it’s all about feywalf” addon on again. Gotta remember to disable that one, don’t recommend using it, think it might be malware as it keeps enabling itself.
That’s a cute little game you play. You insult “The people pushing hard for Dual Spec” then claim it wasn’t a personal attack on any of “The people pushing hard for Dual Spec” because the post was addressed to corpseknife who isn’t one of “The people pushing hard for Dual Spec.” I’m one of the people pushing hard for dual spec. If you weren’t talking about me who are the other “people pushing hard for dual spec” that you were talking about. Give us the names.
What ever. Everyone sees through your bullsht. It’s just that those on your side won’t call you out on it.
