Any other Solo Players out there?

Well Dont get me wrong. I am still have fun but now I am Altoholic. I have 10-11 toons that I play equally. They more than keep me busy.

Cant wait for 10.2 though and Dawn to be added to the Heroic Dungun Q. Im going to go after the scales for my highland drake.

I do the same. I like playing this game the way I play it. You can buy a newspaper, but you don’t have to read each section. (They still have newspapers?)

I see. You are claiming that a player who has done 1 normal dungeon in their life is a “non solo player”, the equivalent of players who do the hardest content in the game and only play in premade groups of top players.

What an odd thing to say, after misrepresenting what a solo player is the way you did.

No…I am not saying that at all.

Let it go Akston. Lets not resort to personal attacks. All that will do is get this thread closed. Lets be chums

Oh its on now man, thats like saying Beetlejuice 3 times!!

LMAO!

The smell of incoming escalation was strong. Someone had to drop it before it did. Was saying let it go and be the bigger man

I have no clue what yall are talking about at this point.

shrug

I was just offering a clarification on the chance I was being misunderstood. Have no issue moving on.

Oh its just starting man, you goofed. Just watch in wonder lol.

…irony.

You’re fine playing solo. I quit doing things in organized and intentional groups a very long time ago. Like you, I started back in the very early days and my enjoyment has changed over the years. Now, I like to putter around like the old person I am, picking away at small stuff and never raiding or pvping anymore - In fact, I have never stepped foot in a M+.

I find it funny and sad at the same time that some of these threads in GD start so normally but by page 3 its 2-3 people bickering back and fourth. Not saying thats what was happening here. I just didnt want it to happen.

Just feeling a bit targeted here on my end. Thats all.

Anyways.

Some of us don’t even do the group content on FB

My buddy that still does them daily and always gets KSM says Im missing nothing but stress. I use the LFG tool to see the content but stop there. So M0-M5? Other than a Normal Raid clear completed using LFG thats probably the hardest content this moose will see

I do end game just not competitively and its not my Focus

This is not strictly true. One group of players is highly dependant on the existence of the other and can be argued to be parasites of that group too. This would be the no life mythic raiding tryhard.

The solo casual can play this game as they normally would and exist in enough numbers to support the game long term. The mythic raider tryhards do not exist in such numbers and thus require the solo casuals to keep propping up their game and content. Nevermind the arrogance and utter disdain the tryhards have for the casuals for daring to want more than the crumbs of content they’re forced to live with while all the good stuff is kept exclusively for the tryhards.

I’m fairly introverted so I need a lot of solo time as well as social play.

Pvp is mostly ignored (although this week I found I kind of like doing random BG’s and arena skirmishes as feral,) raids are capped at aotc which is pretty easy to get, and I normally cap myself around 20’s for the dungeons at least once each season for the portals.

Than I spend hours doing achievements, transmog runs, pet battles etc by myself.

Moo!

I was never a hardcore player, but I’ve been playing since 2005. I’d clear 10m raids until they broke into difficulties, then I was an AOTC raider from that point on.

I did occasionally get some mythic bosses down but clearing the highest difficulty was never my focus outside of killing the Lich King and getting that mythic Garrosh heirloom for my monk.

I lost interest in raiding somewhere in WoD and it carried into Legion. I still raided but I never really felt the draw to it like I used to. Still got nearly every AOTC up until BFA. Got some in BFA but not all of them. I haven’t gotten a single one since Shadowlands launched, I don’t think.

But even when I raided I was primarily a solo player. Outside of raid I’d play by myself farming herbs or fishing for our raid team’s mats, or I’d level an alt by myself. Even in Classic I was primarily a solo player unless my friends wanted to run a dungeon.

There is a very vocal crowd who are primarily group-based in their heads. Ever since the addition of M+ their mentality changed to a belief that the bulk of this game’s fun is meant to be in a group of people inside of an instance, when that was never the case before unless you were primarily a PVPer, or didn’t play much outside of raids.

But it has always been primarily a game that’s meant to be experienced solo.
