Especially considering only Mythic dungeons do not have auto group queue which is considered “solo play” in almost every version of this conversation.
I’m with you old friend. Been on WoW since the beginning and prefer to fly quiet and solo now.
shrug
As long as you acknowledge that non solo players would collapse the game in a much worse fashion.
I feel like there was a stronger implication here trying to be pushed.
I dont really care about a person wanting to be a solo player or not. If its fun for you, and doesnt intrude on others. Go for it. But there is definitely a push of people trying to say that solo players are a much larger portion of the playerbase. Its combined with the silly complaints of “nothing is ever made for the solo player” and “everything is made for the esports blahblahblah crowd”
Group finder , believe it or not, puts you in a GROUP and is not “solo play”. Not trying to push an agenda yet coming up with your own wild rules and regulations as to what counts ?
Relaxed is beyond what I am like atm my friend. Im literally chilling on my poach enjoying the fall weather and colors while on my laptop. Its basically a little slice of heaven here. Here is an Image of what its like here.
lol this is not your porch.
Things I can complete in one session:
ICC
ToT
Check VoA to see if it’s horde or alliance
Tempest Keep
SoO
Hunt for more rare pets
Heroics
LFR (depending on Q time)
Rukhmar
Sha
Isle of Giants
BG’s for fun but it’s rare
Zul’Gurub
DF world quests for renown
Its the area I live in man
now go ahead and mention how that “session” is literal hours.
Lfr and bgs are group content , not solo play.
i was going to say that’s a stream not a porch, but thanks for the clarification.
Now that’s a relaxing view!
57 and have 10 toons i play equally.
You are not by any margin the only one. These forums are not a place where the average player comes to, or even cares about, or even know they exist tbh.
I’ve been playing solo since 2006 or 2007. I’m sure the game would be more fun with a group, but the monthly subscription means none of my friends will play.
lol. I was trying to demonstrate the View From here thats all. Its peaceful
if that was my backyard, i’d sit on that rock there sippin on some hot cocoa wondering where did WoW devs go so wrong with the game…
and then at night I’d be terrified to even look out the window because of the absolute pitch black darkness … and also the yeti leaning against the tree staring at you…
Yeah I have long sessions because currently I have the time but I did forget to add diffusion camps and dreamsurges.
My poor lost soul. You are so wrong lol.
and I’m def not saying you can’t have those, by all means if you’ve got the time do what you enjoy doing, but just saying for us older folks with other responsibilities, that time just isn’t there…so games like GW2 are rising to the top of our aging demographic here in WoW as the true CHAMPYON ((the woonz!)) because it respects ur time and gives you plenty to do in a short amount of time (and in a social way too!!)
I’ve been back for almost 2 months after having left right when Mists released.
I have a grand total of 0 minutes and 0 seconds in group content and no desire to do any at all in the future. I have a closed guild that was all close friends that span many games and none of them are playing this game and no desire to find new ones that do not have an elitist mindset but are focused on fun, even if it means having a friend along that is not geared up.
That kind of play style turns me off so im just going to do the story I missed and solo the lower level dungeons/raids I missed until I get bored of the game and move along again. Blizzard catered to the minority end game gear raiders for far too long for me to give a hair about wanting to do it now.
