I see you want to outright ignore the content droubt of 3.3 that inflated the raw time by multiple months, but you do your selective statistics to ignore the bigger picture if it makes you feel better.
UhâŚ. No. Canât reduce this great expansion to a single queuing interface. You might think it is better with it, but itâs not destroyed without it.
You said Wrath had no RDF longer than it did. I listed the date the patch where RDF was added which was patch 3.3.0 with the date from the state to the date to the next.
I canât understand this. I understand that people want rdf for convenience, and that they think itâs a great QoL tool. But make or break! Hell weâre talking about a window, a button and a pop up. How can the experience of queuing through a windowed interface be âmake or breakâ material??
The alternative is sitting in LFG for 4 hours trying to find groups, without RDF I and many others will not subject ourselves to yet another expansion of waiting room content.
Not worth the time or money.
Such a revelation. I didnât realize my 3rd person MMORPG that I have thousands of hours in is different from a FPS PvP game I have zero hours in. How could I have made such a mistak- OH WAIT.
No, I just want a Wrath feature in Wrath Classic. Buzz off with this absurd statement, and either go play on Classic eternal servers that will never have RDF, or Retail, where RDF isnât used outside leveling, ya dingus.
Right, it was meant for you to sit in one spot and read chat scroll by, trying to parse between US politics spam and hellfire tower flipper drama to try and find people interested in running the 1 dungeon you want to do, hopefully within a reasonable timeframe because most of us are adults with responsibilities to take care of. Rather than queue up for the mutliple dungeons youâre interested in, and go play the game while you wait.
If it takes you 4 hours to form group, you must be writing in a language that no one understand. Or using the wrong channel. There is no way this takes 4 hours lol
This proves that RDF is pretty bad for the game as people DID leave over boosting preventing potential social interactions while lvling because they felt alone.
@garmuck
yeah and I explained, RDF just reduces the amount of people in the open world pushing them into small pockets.
This makes the game less engaging for many as it prevents the game being organic.
A non organic game leads to less engagement of the players.
Less engagement means less fun
Less fun means they look for something else
When they implemented RDF many people left the game
This isnât because RDF was âgoodâ but rather it prevented any potential interaction and world engagement so people had less fun overall
While some MAY want RDF the stats clearly indicate that most players would rather have a more organic world rather then a instant port and no one in the world type of game.
Being ignorant to peopleâs situations doesnât help. There are servers actively dying out to Mega Servers because they lack the very basic tool that Wrath initially had, these servers take a long time to find groups and many people will gate keep, select metas and push GDKPs as that is pretty much LFG chat on every server.
Even on a Mega Server it can be difficult to find groups for people and especially in Wrath where most people play the same class/spec this will get increasingly frustrating.
No one wants to stare at LFG chat all day, people want to actually play the game. If you canât understand that then weâre done here.
I mean if you are on a dying server thatâs another problem.
Donât over dramatize. People
Are not going to gatekeep the most easy and short dungeons in the history of WoW. And who the hell does GDKP dungeons???
And it did. Even if you use the bais measurement of raw time it had no rdf for about 52% of wotlk total life cycke based on time which is more than rdf was in at 48%
Now if we look at it at patch cycles for major content patches 3.0-3.2 had no rdf and 3.3 did, which is 25%
Combinding these 2 percentages gives us a better picute of rdf effective life cycle in wotlk because it takes into effect the content drought. Which is 36.5%.
That problem is created by Mega Server culture, the same patch LFD came out we also got Cross Realm Battlegroups which allowed people from low pop servers to play with those on high pop servers which effectively kills off the need of a Mega Server.
Lol if you donât think people gatekeep dungeons by preferring spell cleaves or other AoE comps youâre out of your mind, and ofc no one GDKP dungeons but the current tool is just another hurdle just to use LFG chat is mostly all GDKP raids.
GDKPs will still be relevant once LFD comes out but because youâll have LFG chat be a lot more freed up instead of 30k people all spamming into the same chat hoping to get groups you can easily ignore/moderate your chat experience and not be chained to it.
Just that alone is a massive QoL.
If it takes you 4 hours to get a grouo for current content you must be on a lot of peoples ignore list.
Are you the other guyâs alt? You say the same exact thing.
Hereâs what I told him:
So you truly believe that people will be highly selective and gatekeep people for content that take about 15 minutes and is so easy that they never ever remade dungeons that were so easy? That is one of your fear, being gatekept from this content?
Jesus dude do you even play this game? Lol.
Do you?!! Dude you fear being gate kept for the easiest and shortest content out there lol
Alright buddy iâm done talkin to ya, you clearly donât play Classic or you play with your eyes closed and just remain ignorant.
They are probably spamming LFG channel trying to get a group
