Anti GDKP crowd doesn't care about gold buying

Lets say it is sunny outside and you do not want to get sunburned. So you put sunscreen on. But then you also spend time in the shade. You can do more than one action to achieve a goal.

Also the changes have separate purposes.

Banning gdkp helps prevent gold laundering

The AH and trade restirctions help blizzard have more time to identify bots and ban them before they can efficiently sell their gold or effect the economy.

Lets say you have a bot account set up.

After 5 days it makes 2000g.

Then you go on the bought account, buy flasks, then sell them cheap to your main account, buying 2k gold worth of consumes, and selling them to your main for 10g.

The AH, trade, and mail restrictions helps prevent this type of thing.

I fail to see how GDKP even promotes “laundering”
Everyone in the raid will notice that a certain person was given a larger cut and chaos would ensue.
Once again this is a point brought up by people who DO NOT know how GDKPs work.

Trade restrictions are there because it’s automated.

The gdkp ban is there because it’s easier and cheaper than hiring GMs.

This is blizzard we are talking about it really isn’t hard to decipher their intentions.

The people who bought gold are still buying gold, they haven’t stopped because there is bis on the auction house, they don’t farm gold for these expensive consumes as enchants either.

The gdkp ban didn’t do anything.

It did get gdkp run spam out the way so I guess rmt is more hidden.

People not even understanding the 30 day limit doesn’t mean anything because gold sellers are bypassing it with COD

Are you dumb??? won with gold IE they bought it. A random equal chance for everyone isn’t the same as someone spending more gold to buy something. You shouldn’t be able to buy BOP items…

You got 5k for a Plagues deck?

The trade off is, even if you lose the item, you still get rewarded with gold at the end. Its a better system in every way. Especially for PUGs and Alt raiding.

And then you got a payout and next week you have a better chance.

Players in a GDKP already have that equal chance to the gear since they participated in the raid, just like anyone else. They aren’t paying for the gear itself that they already have the right to. They’re paying to have priority on it.

The whole “buying” gear is a lie. Players can’t just buy gear directly from anywhere. They have to participate in the raid and earn it just like anyone else.

GDKP is a loot distribution system. GDKP is not a gear wholesale.

You are claiming blizzard does not have access to the back end data of their own game on their own servers?

Correct.

There is no “data” they can produce on who is buying gold, if they knew that they would ban them.

Just like them saying “laundering” gold, which is a digital currency they created and can track but them saying they can’t even do that.

Y’all just believe whatever they say no questions asked.

It isnt about the larger cut.

Its someone coming in buying the items knowing it is dirty gold, while others do not know. And a few friends get cleaned gold.

Lets say you do a 25 man. 15 are the “core” 1 is thr gold buyer account, and 9 others know nothing about this.

The core 15 get their cut of cleaned gold even though they were part of the plan from the gold buyer.

Gdkp makes it relatively easy to clean the gold.

Sure you and your friends wont get 100% of it, but RMT people will do it.

They do push out punishments, and now its easier to track with the banned gdkp.

The gold is split throughout the entire raid. This would be a terrible way to accomplish that, and would actually be a gold loss. The AH would be the safest and easiest way to “clean” gold.
RMT is everywhere, the demonization of a loot system is nonsense.

No, it’s easier to track with their automation because there are less trades.

They don’t have the data of anything, they use PR saving face posts to act like what their doing is working, it isn’t.

The people who buy gold are still buying gold, point blank full stop.

The restrictions for trades were a good thing but it’s also automated and all its going to do is cause the economy to be destroyed because there is going to be so much gold on the server that supply can’t keep up with demand because no more bots, this phase is already costs 60+ gold per raid which is more than my WOTLK raids.

Wait till next phase when flasks launch.

It would be a SAFE way to do it. Thats the point.

You buy 50k gold on a burner account

Spend it in a gdkp with your friends and a few pugs. And now you and your friends got about 25k gold with near 0 risk onto your main accounts.

It isnt just about getting the gold, its about the risk in getting it.

Yes its less gold, but its safe gold.

Who cares?

But blizzard has all the data how come they can’t track it?

They can track it, but based on the data with a gdkp how do they punish the raid who didnt buy the gold? If they take the gold people get pissed

If they ban the raid group entirely people get pissed.

And people fear if a gdkp has a gold buyer in it and they will be punished for themselves doing nothing wrong.

Before the gdkp ban blizzards action was to just ban the one account they knew bought gold. And it resulted in a lot of cleaned gold.

This is a situation where no matter blizzards sokution to it, it caused problems.

And with their available data, they are testing this solution in sod.

Why even bother with that? Use the burner account, buy gold for you and all your friends. Give them the gold. The end.

Burner account gets banned for 2 weeks, which is plenty of time to buy whatever you want and get more gold again.

I know of at least a half a dozen people who operate in this fashion.

This is still how this happens.
