It’s very simple you put in a no tolerance policy 5 years ago.
Now when Johnny the swiper buys gold his burner account gets permanently banned and then his main account gets permanently banned.
And then pretty soon the amount of rmt is going to be drastically cut because people are going to be like wow they’re permanently banning you I don’t want to lose my account.
Once again, this is not how GDKPs work. It doesn’t matter if you have gold cap going into a GDKP, if the loot they’re looking for doesn’t drop then the person is just sitting on massive amounts of “tainted” gold.
Also the cut is divvied out to the ENTIRE raid. Nobody will be happy watching a few people get a larger cut for no reason.
Yes correct, until there are actual real consequences for buying gold they are doing the absolute bare minimum
If you start with a month, then escalate to 6 with a final being a permaban, I’d venture to guess there’d be no more gold buying. This extends from the buyer account to whomever they distributed the gold to.
They don’t like to see losers walk away with BiS loot because they paid for a carry. That’s the issue in a nutshell. It’s about item relevance. If you have the BiS gear you did the hard work of clearing raids.
I’m no snitch. It’s not my job to police Blizzards game. People think they have the tools to see what’s going on, yet they choose to do nothing about it because it actually makes them money.
I didn’t say anything about the GDKP ban at any point in any of my posts.
I would say however that if given a choice, I would rather have some of that gold instead of it getting funneled back to whomever is going to sell it through the auction house.
Did you miss the part about community feedback? There was no reference to data whatsoever.
Then why are bots and RMT just as bad if not worse?
if they “have the data” why would they take 3 days to take action on it. Data doesn’t take 3 days to process. GDKP has nothing to do with this. You know what doesn’t take days? Opening the AH and laundering gold.
Which has done nothing to bots and RMT.
Again, why are bots and RMT still as prevalant?
Buying would be opening the shop and buying it, as you would a pet.
So does literally any gold exchange in the game, especially the AH.
So why is there as much or more bots and gold buying happening?
Lol, wut? So you buy 50k gold so you can get 5k “clean” gold? lmao. Just use the AH dude.
If they can track it why don’t they ban it right away? You are suggesting they have to wait until it gets spent in a GDKP, then take action. You know what’s faster than spending it in GDKP? Spending it on the AH.
The dogma toward blizz is incredible. They are flying this ship blind dude. Your faith is misplaced. They literally banned it because of complainers on the forums.
So easy and has nothing to do with GDKP.
Thanks for being honest that this has nothing to do with RMT and you are in fact okay with RMT outside of GDKP.
Guys, we landed on the moon in 1969 and you’re saying getting rid of bots is too hard so we must ban GDKP instead. Meanwhile, bots don’t care at all.
I know man, this is so insane to me that folks drone on an on about how GDKPs “buy gear.” They clear the exact same raid as everyone else. Somehow rolling dice is “earning” and gdkp is not.
GDKPers are generally pretty skilled players that enjoy raiding with other skilled players and are tired rolling against literally everyone in the raid for BIS items. Especially when MS>OS raids are filled with grey parsers that don’t use consumables, wipe the raid, then “have to go” on the 4th boss.
