It’s pretty easy. The only one I can’t seem to do is the heal one, which surprise, I’ve never healed in my life.
I want that book mount though!

You tell me.
Yes, it does.
No, it doesn’t.
Literally nothing more.
NONE. OF. THOSE. WERE. ADVERTISED. AS. LIMITED.
There’s the fundamental difference here. If they said TCG or tier 3 was a challenge piece that would be going away forever, you’d have a point.
They’re not the same as gladiator mounts/challenge gear/limited time legendaries/mage tower
This might make your point and I pray it’s just a datamined mistake. If it DOES come out, you’ll sadly have a semblance of an argument for them reintroducing mage tower/challenge gear/limited time content.
Healing for me would be rough too because I kind of freeze up with panic (not actual panic just not sure what to do in stressful situations).
Good luck on getting your book!
Again, stop freaking asking for things to be brought back. Ask for more things to be created. Not for things to be brought back. You like those appearances? Cool, ask for newer models and cooler skins.
Again, see? Asking for that is fine. Ask for MORE CLASS THEMED WEAPONS AND ARMOR and stop asking for “We want you to recycle old content.” This is complete rubbish, btw, as I will also tell every single person “no” whether it’s behind a screen or literally right in front of your face. They should NOT be brought back, no matter how many threads you guys all post, nor how many likes or dislikes you guys get or collect, unless you’re all going to pay everyone else here, 100,000 USD (One hundred thousand US dollars.) That’s also per person who wants it, per item you want back, to each person who already got it back in Legion. each for every single appearance being brought back.
For that price going into my pocket, I DEMAND they be brought back this INSTANT!
And players wonder why they’re never taken seriously when they throw these tantrums…
Hm? It was a statement that I know most people don’t have 100k+ on hand to give so I was stating a demand most of you cannot actually meet. Also, that’s per person who got it back in Legion. There’s a million or more people who did, meaning you would be having to dish out 100k+ to each person there who got the skins, and then PER skin, per person. That’s a bare minimum of 100,000,000,000 or 1 billion US dollars per item being shelved out. Again, not something everyone has meaning it won’t happen.
Again, though, no they shouldn’t be brought back under any circumstances in all seriousness. That’s a legal liability for them literally able to be sued if they were to do that, by every person who played in Legion that wanted to sue and if that door was legally opened you already know they would be literally on that the moment it happened.
And what was the point of asking for this?
I’m sure if you peruse the TOS / EULA they clearly state that they can make changes to the game in any way, shape or form that they wish, so, no, there’s legal liability if they brought them back.
And, weirdly enough, the only reason players who don’t want the Mage Tower appearances to be brought back is because Blizzard said they were only available for a limited time.
If Blizzard said the duck pets in DF will only be obtainable during DF, that once DF is no longer the current expansion it will not be possible to obtain duck pets (outside of player trading) but then in The Last Titan they reversed course and made duck pets obtainable again, a thermonuclear volcano of rage would erupt on these forums.
Over “limited time” duck pets.
*And based on that information, some of us no-lifed the heck out the game to get those pixel achievements, understanding that ‘only available for a limited time’ implies ‘gone forever’.
Funny thing is, that thread was me
Probably.
For about 3 weeks then everyone would shrug and forget about the weird Duck War of 2024.
And, weirdly enough, the only reason players who don’t want the Mage Tower appearances to be brought back is because Blizzard said they were only available for a limited time.
“Weirdly”? It’s because they busted their butts to get it as they knew they were going away. Granted, it became cheeseable at the end, we didn’t know we could outgear it. I spent over 100 attempts at Havoc DH and Frost Mage without the proper leggos precisely because I knew I wanted those. I wanted some of the healer ones, but knew I couldn’t as I suck at heals.
Getting the ducks isn’t difficult, but yeah, people would probably throw a tiff. I wouldn’t be bothered (well, I’d probably enjoy the show on the forums) because it wouldn’t be like I spent time/effort getting them, so that’s a difference.
It’s major cut content which never feels good. Which is why so many people devote themselves to restoring old games.
Before people say ‘too bad’… that’s what many said about the content that got removed when Cata happened. And look how much people wanted Vanilla stuff back (and how much has since been returned).

Yeah, I know what you mean; I had about 100 attempts on the Prot Pally one (The Highlord Returns) but I barely ever use that stupid flail.
The Ret Pally one, on the other hand, only took me about 15 attempts, and I use that quite often.
I wanted some of the healer ones, but knew I couldn’t as I suck at heals.
Bringing the Mage Tower back would give you the opportunity to get them.
Getting the ducks isn’t difficult, but yeah, people would probably throw a tiff.
True, but as I pointed out, we’re not asking for easy-mode Mage Tower to be brought back. Bring it back for a limited time for a patch or two in an expansion where the Mage Tower has been tuned so that it is difficult. (It doesn’t sound like that is what they did with the current implementation, so it may need to be tuned harder than it is now.)
If we wanted a hand-out, we wouldn’t ask for the Mage Tower to be brought back; we’d ask for the transmogs to be put on the TP.

Again, none of this stuff was told “to be going away never to come back again.”
The only difference with all of these items and Mage Tower stuff is that Mage Tower literally was said for its rewards to 100% be going away to never return again.
Literally phrasing dictating it never coming back, at all. Not phrasing or up for interpretation, but it was phrased literally to “never come back again once it’s gone” and that’s precisely why so many people got it.
Do you think they would have gotten all of them if blizzard said “maybe it might be back in a future expansion” ? No, they wouldn’t have worried as much about them, then.
The other stuff was never advertised or promised to be going away and never returning, these items, specifically, were.
That’s what all the tiff is about. It’s about that promise, nothing more nothing less.
You can get the challenge, itself, back and have more and better rewards, but not those exact rewards.
Sure. I should state I have a bunch of the appearances and did feel the urgency at the time.
Removing content, though, doesn’t feel like a good move. The original mage tower provided a challenge with a good reward. The more recent one with a recolour? Less so (book and bear are cool though). And I do notice this cut content isn’t something they’ve ever repeated since. Happened in MoP, WoD and Legion then they stopped it as an idea - at least to this scale. PvP elite sets and mounts vanish (again - I’d argue that removing these is bad for the health of that aspect of the game) as do AOTC mounts and titles - little else.
An interview with Blizzard last year revealed they saw every expansion as unique - with features they only planned to implement for a limited time. Now, they’ve changed their minds about this and want to create evergreen content. With that in mind, its hard not to imagine the people who removed the challenge sets, the WoD weapons, etc wouldn’t do that now - but merely update the difficulty settings so people could go out and farm them whenever they felt the itch.
Realistically? Probably never coming back. But given how much their views on account wide data has changed and evergreen systems? Who knows. What people promised 3 expansions ago might not hold true in the future.
As a final thought - perhaps using the Mage tower to offer further recolours of the weapons or potentially new weapons entirely might be possible. Just throwing that out there (or a MT like challenge per season with unique rewards).
Recolors are fine, the exact colors n rewards are not. People aren’t arguing for them to not bring back MT challenges n such, we argue for them to keep the promise made to players playing during the Legion expansion that it was: “once this expansion is over these rewards will be gone forever and not coming back.” That was the promise made to the playerbase playing during the time. I don’t not mind recolors, however, I do mind those exact colors n rewards coming back yes.
Again; ask for recolors and I will stand by you guys. Ask for those exact rewards and I will stand against you guys entirely. I don’t care about the rewards more than I care about the promise made to the players like myself playing during that time. I don’t care for helping companies break promises to customers, under any circumstances at all.
I don’t care whether it means the death of peoples’ mothers unless they brought those back, promises are promises and they should always, 100%, be honored and never broken regardless of circumstances. That is how sacred a promise is in my eyes and yeah, they probably should not have made that declaration, but that was the entire selling point for 7.1 onwards in Legion. That was why most of us got those rewards to begin with.
Again, I don’t mind people asking for recolors n stuff, that’s cool, I stand with you on recolors. On those exact colors n rewards: no, I will not stand with you. On newer things I will 100% stand with you as well.
Stop asking for the exact rewards back. Ask for recolors if you want recycled rewards or ask for newer rewards. Neither of those are being asked for, though, it’s always, always the same exact rewards being asked for back which is why we are so vehemently against you. I don’t care whether players were born or not, whether they were homeless during this expansion or not, the circumstances under which why you missed those rewards simply doesn’t matter more to me than that promise made to the playerbase from the company. That I will 100% hold above all else and I will straight up fight against people asking for them to break said promise.
I do not want companies to break their words or promises made to customers for any reason. We should be holding companies to words if they make us a promise then we should be holding them to those promises above all else. We should be making sure they stand with principles regardless of all else.
The salt on the forums would disinfect things so beautifully.

It’s true. I must of had a hundred Robes of Doan over the years, but when Transmog came out. I did not. It was gone and I was told to deal with it. Now it’s back. Same as other robes. Recolors if people absolutely want, but you don’t hear Grand Marshals / High Warlords crying about the fact that Replica Gear is identical to what they got in Vanilla, nor do you hear them bellyaching about the fact that people can STILL get it.
Same deal with the weapons, and so for that reason I say make them available again.
Mage Tower is back. Arguably harder now since it cannot be over-geared. No reason not to.
I’d wager like 20 people and all of their forum alts would have a meltdown for a couple weeks, a few would unsub, and then everybody would forget about it.
