If you bring these back now, we have the same problem we had during legion, everyone, and I do mean just about everyone will use legion weapon mogs and then WoW feels shallow.

We already had it with Druids, I load in to an instance and see a druid tank and 99% of them have the swolebear, and I role my eyes because it lost all meaning and I got mine in Legion too, and I use it the same so the fix was to make new appealing forms, which they just did.

They lose all value to those who earnt it, they lose all charm to those who desire it, they become just another thing that everyone else has, with no meaning, and we start to see them as generic and bland because literally every prot warrior in the game will be using their flail, every prot pally in the game will be using their flail.

I get it, you weren’t there, you want what you don’t have and it sucks that you can’t get it.

Yet the whole point of them was “We’re doing this in Legion for people playing in Legion, you have until X to get it, then you also can’t get it ever again!” so I’d vote they stay gone, make new weapons, make new class fantasies, make new content.

Honestly at this point the og appearances probably won’t be coming back unless subs take another big enough hit. But asking for new class themed weapons or armor may go better? Maybe each xpack or every few patches they add something new to it, eventually the single collection of tier set recolors and the book mount aren’t going to be enough to entice people into it. Also any new classes added going forward don’t get anything from it at all so this could help with that.

No i mean like if you came out and said what removed item you would want to have, how you would use, and how no other item fills the same role for what youre going for.

Like actual examples of people who want specific removed items and not just for plus one purposes.

Cosmetics do not “enhance” your character

Yes they do

For example the void elf heritage armor is one of my favourite sets in the game and my void elves wear it all the time.
It really gives off the feeling of being part of allerias army.
Totally enhances my characters experience.

If someone wants to RP as a warden, then the trading posts warden set is a huge deal to have.
Helps you feel as the character, helps others see you as it.

What cosmetics enhances a character is down to the player, but hardly/never used cosmetics collecting dust does not count

So to you, what item does your character not being able to use, affect your rp for them.
What one in particular would you be using right now?

The vast majority of mage tower appearances were done in 7.3, when it was absolutely face roll… Not sure why they can’t just give them out like they used to.

Your faerie dragon transmog is godawful. Blizzard should remove it from the store and replace it with a proper armor set that’s both worthy of the Warcraft name and the price you paid for that pajama set.

Legion was literally an expansion where EVERY player in the game was THE Big D Hero™, including of their entire class, with EVERY player having the one-and-only unique one-of-a-kind artifact weapon for each spec.

You get an Ashbringer, and you get and Ashbring! Everyone gets an Ashbringer!!!

And yet, no one batted an eye or complained.

So why are we suddently getting upset at the request that the additional artifact appearances be earnable again?

That was not their whole point. Blizzard just doesn’t want to have to constantly keep re-balancing the Mage Tower to ensure the difficulty level of the content, which is understandable. But that does not mean they couldn’t bring back the Mage Tower rebalanced on occasion, like at the end of an expansion when there’s a lull in content.

Asking the playerbase to have had a leveled and geared up character for EVERY class in Legion to be able to get all the Artifact appearances is just outright ridiculous, and that’s assuming players were even playing during that 12 month window when the Mage Tower was available.

Dude sign me up. When it comes to talentless displays of talent I’m incredible and willing to be the proud recipient of my participation award if it’s rare and going to bend people out of shape.

Also, I just got some Classic grinds done this weekend, could we now turn them off to ensure nobody else can get them? I’d also appreciate it if WoW would let everyone know I was the last person to get these items before they turned it off. … then deleted it so it can NEVER EVER come back. EVER.

I literally used my xpac boost to make a druid to get the forums just incase, literally just got a few left pieces and the catch up gear and 2 shot the bear and 1 shot the cat challenge cuz damage was so much higher

You literally said that transmogs can enhance your character. It doesn’t matter whether that transmog is still available or not: there’s always going to be someone who wants that transmog because it enhances their character.

I don’t understand why you cannot apply your reasoning regarding the Void Elf transmogs to the Artifact Mage Tower transmogs. Why are we suddenly having a system where a player now has to justify why they want a piece of transmog?

I use my Vanquisher title on literally every toon.

My DK uses season 9s elite set religiously.
My rogue rotates between the multiple elite sets it has
My Lock/Mage/Priest will use the BFA elite set in horde because the alliance one is Uggo.

I routinely use my elite pvp weapons on rogue/lock/mage

I have 1800 sets on warrior and Druid I use as well.

What do I gain by telling you which artifact appearance I want and why?

If you agree, will you say, “OK, you are correct, Mage Tower artifact appearances should be made available again!”

OR, will you just shift the conversation to a pointless tangent by concocting a reason my justification is invalid and, therefore, Mage Tower appearances should not be made available?

Irrelevant? I did 2 challenges and that was for Balance and Feral… I didn’t have multiple alts. The two challenges I did were extremely easy when I did them and non-chaotic.

I support people in their fight to get removed items returned, when they actually want to look a certain way and no other items can fill the role.

I dont support people who want them back purely for a plus one in their collection or because theyve been told they can’t have it.

So yeah, i think if people want something, they should talk about what they want and how it would make their time in the game better if they had it.

But this assumes that literally EVERYONE (myself and yourself included) only want the Mage Tower transmogs for completionist purposes, unless stated otherwise…

…which is a weird assumption to make when you’ve literally laid out a reason why someone would want the transmogs for the very reason you’ve stated you’d be willing let them have it.
