Dear sir. First of all female. Secondly, I am sure this will come across as egotistical to you but I know my intentions better than anyone else, yourself included.

And if you are doubting my integrity, its because you haven’t paid attention to what I have written here. The truth is important to me. THAT is the whole reason I entered this thread in the first place.

For someone who has positioned himself as the “rational” person you are fighting very hard to let everyone know how awful a person I am. At what point do you, the “superior” person in this conversation just stop arguing over things you are wrong about?

This isn’t the first time that changes in spell effects were pulled for whatever reason. If I had to guess, they probably reverted this one due to seeing it in real time during raid/dungeon environments. Might have caused some issues with seeing things on floors that could be important tells during boss fights.

No one promised anything. It was a spell effect that showed up on PTR and didn’t make it to live. There was no announcement. There was no “we’re giving you this specific thing.” Wowhead saw it and posted about it. That’s all.

Things on PTR don’t always make it to live.

That’s not lying.

Everyone gets excited when they see something they like on the PTR. No reason to jump down their throats because they are upset that it didn’t make live. Please just explain and move on.

Well how about they communicate with us?

If Wings/flash of light and couple of spells didn’t make it to live, I assume people would’ve also complained but since this is mainly for Prot paladin of course no one cares…

This has zero to do with anyone’s personal feelings on the matter and you’re just being even more dramatic now.

There’s always stuff on PTR that doesn’t make it to live. There’s always stuff they don’t talk about on PTR. This isn’t any different.

Does it suck if you wanted it? Sure. Is it worthy of saying Blizz lied and throwing a dramatic fit? No.

It is so not worth wasting your time on this one, friend. I have already told him at least twice how PTR works but he’s not budging. Big bad Blizzard promised and renegged on this until the day he dies.

People are “jumping down his throat” because the OP has the nerve to accuse Blizzard of lying to him (a pretty grand accusation) when in reality it’s his own fault for thinking that something being on the PTR guarantees it’ll be on live too. It’s not what he wanted, it’s his response to not getting it that has people rightfully against him.

I said - Why they didn’t tell us why it didn’t make it to live? what happened?

is it a bug? are they going to patch it? are they going to make it a Glyph? anything? an answer would be great.

Because Like I said, I was mainly hyped for this change than any other thing in 8.1.

I’m just disappointed.

Then say you’re disappointed without the “Another lie?” part. That’s what did you in. You misunderstood what the PTR was, and that’s fine, it happens. But when you’re questioning something don’t leap in with both feet into accusatory mode.

Yes it is? It’s literally in the title of the thread. And the choice of words in most of your posts in this thread are very accusatory. What else would you call it if you keep saying they “promised” to add the animation and then didn’t?

Being disappointed is fine, accusing Blizzard of “lying” when they never promised to add the animation in the first place is not.

The consecration visual was never announced in the patch notes or advertised by Blizzard. Just because it was in PTR at some point it doesn’t mean it will go live.

It was probably removed because they felt it was unfinished. Some paladin visuals that were in Beta didn’t make into live until patch 8.1, after all.
