The use of unauthorized cheat programs undermines the integrity of the World of Warcraft game environment by granting unfair advantages that are not attainable through normal gameplay.
Itâs important to note:
The account holder is responsible for all activities associated with the account.
Our decision to close the account was made after a thorough review of relevant evidence.
We take such actions to safeguard our players and the integrity of our service, in accordance with our Blizzard End-User License Agreement (EULA).
We understand that this decision may be disappointing. Our support team might not overturn these closures and might not respond to appeals. For further details, you can refer to Appealing a Silence, Suspension, or Ban on this matter.
Nothing can be done here in Customer Support forums. Only way to deal with bans is by appealing. Then it is up to the hacks team to decide going off by their logs whether it is an error on their end or to upheld the ban.
Been over this already, appealing did absolutely nothing last time and it wasnât until i made a post in the customer support forum before i got any resolution.
But the blues have nothing to do with apeals they cant alter the outcome.
Its also worth noting opening the same topic a 3rd time is a bad idea the answer hasnt changed keep apealing and reopening a locked topic is a bad idea.
Posting in the CS forum also did not get you your resolution, however. They even stated as such:
Correlation rarely ever equals causation. Without knowing the contents of the email Orlyia was referencing, the conclusion is that it was given due to continued appeals.
Iâm honestly more interested in what actually is triggering the bans. My gut is telling me itâs something like RestedXP addon but iv heard blizzard will never actually give a specific reason due to real botters/hackers.
Everyone would love to know what triggered the action, yes. And we empathize with those that do, particularly the ones that were caught up in false positives.
But as you noted, that information is highly valuable to the nefarious enterprises determined to exploit WoW (and other various games) to ply their trade and gain access to the details of some unsuspecting player naive to the ways of the dark web.
Addons you are installing through an addon manager like CurseForge or simply downloading from their website and installing in the interface folder are not going to get you in trouble.
There was a thread not too long ago that, while needing translation, came up with inclusion of something that prevented going AFK and blocked the game from logging them out. Honestly there is quite a wide selection of technology available to download that could flag Warden.
Then at this point iâm stumped unless anti cheat programs that other games use can trigger it because a lot of the time i might have something like valorant up and running at the same time. Maybe there are certain email providers your not suppose to use?
Iâm going threw now with a ticket, appeal and account recovery please wish me luck.
Well if you use ANY cheat from even another game that you arenât actually playing when youâre playing wow, if itâs in the memory then that will probably flag you. Just having a cheat running in background not in actual use can and wil cause a flag.
The simple fact is that no one will ever really know what got detected, and Blizzard will never reveal it because it could lead to further ruination of the game than bots already do.
It could be a dynamic VPN, it could be cheating software, it could be AFK prevention software, it could be software (or hardware) that you use to make your multiboxing playstyle more efficient, it could be something as innocuous as work software thatâs used to monitor your daily output and has no impact whatsoever on games.
Anti-cheats would not flag you for it. That much I know for sure. Again, go through a list of known programs that falsely flag you for a ban, and cross-reference it with programs on your computer. It is not anti-cheats.
Sorry that this happened to you again. Being that you were innocent last time this must be especially frustrating. Unfortunately like the others had stated you have to go through the appeals process again.
The worst part of it is that you cant even talk to anyone nor find out what got you banned in the first place except for a vague reason.
I havenât played a blizzard game since D4 launch and i cannot believe this is how they treat players now. Apparently there are a lot of classicwow banned posts on reddit showing people having those overturned. Itâs like blizzard changed something with the detection system in SoD thatâs having a huge ban effect, even against normal users.
Regardless i hope it gets fixed again so i can continue enjoying the game, at least apparently until the next ban.
This is the way itâs been since the game launched. They have never âtipped their handâ, so to speak, regarding what triggered an account action beyond giving a category for the action.
Hopefully this means that youâve followed the process to put in your appeal.
I have and it was denied, like it was denied last friday before âsomeoneâ else got around to looking into it. I literally got denied twice before it got overturned with a âweâre sorry emailâ appeals apparently donât do much.
Seems like its automated every time to auto deny. Iâm trying to go threw other routes like here and blizzardCS on twitter but wonât know if those have results until they open for work hours, if they even open on black friday.
