Gold selling will always be high in classic wow because of the min/max consumables playstyle that classic has + the rarity of really strong BOE gear. GDKP makes it worse, but itsn’t the sole reason for gold buying.
You can always tell when the swipers’ bans get lifted and these threads suddenly appear out of nowhere after a few days or week without them.
it seems like GDKP makes it better, since gold buying is way worse on anniversary…

without GDKPs you either need a ton of free time to farm or to buy gold to raid
with gdkp one can raid casually and just use that gold for consumes and never have to buy gold.
they destroy the gold buyer market, especially the smaller buyer

Now look GDKP is on era, if you want it go there. I’m honestly tired of seeing people complain to the deaf ears of Blizzard that they want it back.
Era has been around so long and inflation is so high that you only need to buy gold unless you are brand new to era. Era doesn’t attract new players though.
Era gold buying also went down when fresh launched. You’re intentionally making bad arguements.
We are having a blast on Era, that is a fact.
That gold they’re getting from gdkps comes from swipers.

and from other players. We have all the gold since 2019 most of it was created by player and has been passed around by players.
But yeah when the gold buyers come to Era in waves, the GDKPs let us take all the gold they buy.
Better it goes to us, the players, then right back to the sellers.

It’s because the megaservers make it so easy to allocate the bots. Literally only 2 big servers and that means you don’t need to spread the bots out to all these different servers to farm gold. There are only 2 servers which means their “customers” are all grouped in 2 large areas making it easy to reach all of them.
What is it like needing someone to hold your hand through every conversation you’ve ever been in? Needing everything explained to you like you’re 5 y/o?
I’m saying more gold is being sold without gdkps.

You’re switching between Anniversary and Era based on whatever argument you’re trying (and failing) to make.
And this continuing argument of, “Without gdkps players just buy gold themselves” isn’t a good one.
Idk if you meant this in a specific context so I might be pedantic here but “need” is a bad word here because you absolutely do not need all the min/max consumables to raid. Like it’s literally a self imposed limitation. You can do 15 ZF runs on a mage alt and have more than enough gold to buy some basic consumables.

But the people buying gold feel they do.
Because farming gold for 10 hours is a lot more inefficient than buying gold
So all the people who were using gdkps as a gold farm no longer can, which creates more gold buyers.
Which is why gold sales are up with it banned

You do when it gets to naxx, and AQ40 prog.
The other raids are braiddead easy and become perfect to run as GDKP to farm gold. But most players on anniversary will never do naxx unless they buy gold or game is nerfed because it takes a ton of consumes.
Well they can do the easy bosses or spend a whole weekend grinding it out. But during prog losing world buffs is usually calling it in naxx because bosses are dps checks.
