The concept is the same. Don’t pay for illicit gold, and you won’t have a problem. Pay for illicit gold, and you risk losing your account completely and very suddenly.
While that may be fair, the rules are still the same. You can’t buy gold and should avoid dealing with folks who seem to be less-than-savoury, especially if you are doing unsupported transactions like boosting.
Agreed. This is why you should never trade gold with anyone unless they are a trusted person. Just noticed earlier in the post that buying from the AH could also get your account actioned too.
@op. Always farm your own mats and never trade gold with anyone unless you trust them. Even then it’s still risky. Be safe gamer!
Yes, but that situation described someone using the Auction House to “trade” gold to another user who bought it from a service. Normal use of the auction house is fine.
