If you don't want sharding in starting zones then wait a couple of days for Blizzard to get rid of it.

Ion said weeks, not days and not hours.

Doesn't change the point.
Those against sharding say to those that like it to wait until the pack thins out.
We say the same thing to them... Wait until they turn sharding off.

Lol, how selfish can you guys be?
You think that’s your inch to give?11/08/2018 10:17 AMPosted by AzounAllow blizzard an inch and they will take a mile. That's why people want no changes.11/08/2018 04:20 AMPosted by RistraGenerically claiming sharding is bad is defeatism. (The system will fail no matter what simply because you want it to fail)

I'd ask you the same question.
Sharding = exclusion
Sharding = segregation
Sharding = abuse
Sharding = minimal gameplay
Sharding = bad world pvp

Leveling is just a chore for me that's required before I get to the actual content I'm interested in doing (raids). I'm interested in whatever makes that part as painless and quick as possible. I experienced it once and have no desire to slog through it again. What I want is what I never got: Full classic raid experience.11/07/2018 11:30 PMPosted by FalnearWhy would you want to avoid competition? That's one of the points in old MMORPGs that is missing from the modern ones. You're not the center of the universe, you compete for things with other people.
Another thought, imagine someone reports you for spamming or camping etc. Then some automated system moves you to your own shard to give safe space to the other party.

You don't see the irony of calling someone selfish when you are essentially telling someone "my way or the highway"?
Ok.
It's sad but there will be sharding in the game because blizzards "Virtual cloud servers" can't handle more than 20 people at a time. Kind of pathetic if you ask me. Servers in 2005 could handle more players than their crappy virtual servers now.
If you don't like congested zones just wait a few days until they clear out.11/08/2018 10:40 AMPosted by TarythiaIf you don't want sharding in starting zones then wait a couple of days for Blizzard to get rid of it.
That argument can be used both ways, but only one of the two arguments is consistent with Vanilla.
Sharding could lead to server transfers where blizzard could make some extra money. If you cant see or interact with other players you would think your server is dead and in fact you were in a shard. On Tuesday vote no for proposition sharding in WoW Classic. This is not a paid advertisement...Thankyou and have a nice day!
11/07/2018 11:01 PMPosted by MogarHow can anyone think this is good for the game?
No one does. Where are people saying this is good outside of starting zones at launch? This clip took place in the Barrens, Blizz has said there will be no sharding there. Why you mad, bro?

Speaking of retail instant gratification, convenience oriented mindsets...

Cool. I'm a paying customer too, and I am happy to give them an inch to make my starting zone questing experience tolerable.

So wait another week after it comes out and then play.

Those that don't like sharding can wait until it is turned off and then play.
