hopefully with the acquisition next year or whenever that happens with microsoft, they get some additional CS resources.

That’s good and all but without more staff to actually moderate the game properly cough like FFXIV cough, and to combat bots, I can’t honestly feel that any of this will have a big impact

I saw a thread of somebody complaining about the use of “pink skin” towards white skinned humans and demanded it be removed from the game, to keep the fairness with the whole “green skin” debacle.

Think this is the main driver for the whole effort.
In the desire to moderate at no cost they’re backing into a weird dystopian environment of reporting on your neighbor any time they use a word of curse.
And of course they will reserve the right to arbitrarily enforce and interpret an overly broad set of concepts masquerading as rules.
Techniques of a totalitarian state, not a healthy society.

Eh, I always understand where people are coming from and try to give them an ear, until they show me why I shouldn’t, then I stop.
While the defamation of my character hurt earlier, IK things could be worse but still, I think there’s some merit to what people are saying.

The Squelch already did this. The automated Squelch has been a thing, for awhile, now. This new Social Construct just reinforces that the Squelch is here to stay.
I wanna make a toon named Squelch now.

I’m just baffled because it’s like the community (not everyone) forgot about the Squelch’s existence. The Squelch was a problem in Vanilla Classic. And, some (not all) pre-mades would trick the BG leader to talk, publicly. So, the pre-made can report them for spam, get them Squelched (which causes a DC) and promotes one of the pre-made members, as the new leader.
This happened LONG before this new Social Contract. Dunno why some (not all) are acting all surprised.
