Yeah it makes no sense.
Probably some arbitrary reason 'cause “blacksheep” is one word, it didn’t trigger the automated censor looking for “black” as a stand alone word.
I’m working atm so can’t watch that, but I’ll look at it later =)
Still don’t see how “black” is a bad word. Its literally a color. Well not a color more of a shade but still.
And all colors/shades are beautiful and make the world go round. Imagine a world without color or not being able to use a word to describe a color/shade.
And even in my case i was going for an elder scrolls faction. A necromancer faction.
This time i had to go for a fallout faction.
That’s why your guild name looked familiar.
Now I have to listen to that country song …
“Should have seen it in color.”

Ad Victoriam!
I really hope people aren’t going to be suspended due to using a word that describes a color.
I understand your frustration, I (also) see the other side of the coin, in why it may not useable. We may not like it, but it’s the rule, right?
I can see people (not everyone) being racist with the word “black”.
Or, in typical magic stories, white is the color of light via “good”, while black is the color of “dark” via “bad”. IK it’s a stretch, but I can see Blizz covering their tracks to avoid a lawsuit.
Same reason we no longer have ‘blacklist’ and ‘whitelist’ in many games, can’t have us perpetuating a negative stigma of black = bad.
No mind the fact that black as a skin color is as much a misnomer as white - more a brown and peach really.
People can be racist with any color even white. I dont see how blizz thinks banning “black” makes any logical sense.
Hopefully not. Like if someone wanted to make a guild called “black sunshine” (after the song), they would have to do it as 1 word or do like the special letters.
I agree the censoring of that is silly. I get why but wouldn’t better moderation = that issue not being a thing?
IK, that’s why they took out the phrase “Green Skin”.
Again, you may not agree with it (neither do I), but I wouldn’t put it passed Blizz to do these kinds of things, to protect their bank accounts and avoiding lawsuits. People (again, not everyone) will complain/sue about anything.
I dont know. At least i was able to use one of my favorite games factions as a guild name. I even have my alliance guild named “Children of Atom” another fallout faction lol
feels like you are trying to shift the blame for your own social issues onto the player base
This is why thin skinned people annoy me. Always gotta find something to be offended by…
But whatever I guess. At least my current guild name wasn’t blocked.
