American Olympic Team

so what? how one person is doing is completely irrelevant to how another person is doing.

you’re awfully critical of these young athletes, all the while probably having accomplished absolutely nothing in your life that even comes close to them.

it’s kind of pathetic.

Just the ones who quit . Not the ones who are competing whether they win or lose .

What a compassionate human being you are. ROFL

You do realize that the Olympics has always shown video footage of different athletes and their lives, right?

So everyone is in the same mental and physical state as everyone else? What even is this stupid comment?

Shows us your gymnastics gold medal. Or did you quit?

Because I’m sure they’re devastated with your personal disappointment.

Gotta love those who couldn’t even compete at a local flag football game trying to disparage one of the best athletes in the world.

I don’t see much proof otherwise. Nor have I ever seen any indication of that man being homophobic.

Silver: 16 (1st overall)
Bronze: 11: (tied for first overall)
total: 41 (1st overall)

I can tell you’ve never had to do anything under heavy pressure. It’s not about winning or losing, it’s about not being so overwhelmed that you botch something that could get you landed with life-threatening injuries.

He’s in his mid-30’s and is trolling the World of Warcraft General Forums about an Olympic champion.

Even if he made this thread for the sole purpose of getting some bites, this dude is on the downward hill of a mediocre life.

What amuses me is the lack of perspective behind the gold medal pissing contest. People who think it matters for some reason as a measure of the “greatness” between countries. It’s a cold war mindset.

Meanwhile, Brazil is jumping for joy because they had a gymnast win a medal for their first time ever for their country.

Yeah, they do that on those talent shows too, to garner sympathy for particular individuals to sway opinions. I don’t care.

The only question I have in all of this is that, If this person was so fragile mentally why did she go all the way to the Olympics to decide that she couldn’t participate? Why not forfeit the spot before departure to give someone else a shot?

Seems these athletes need mental evaluations as a qualifier.

Thnx for reading us the CNN article, but the twisties isnt a real thing, its like a baseball player saying he has strikeout-itis

Imagine thinking Simone Biles owes you something even if it comes at risk to her health.

My understanding is that what she is experiencing is something that can onset suddenly, and can take weeks to work through.

I’m sure you would know better than the numerous other Olympic gymnasts who have come out in support of Simone Bile, or Simone Bile herself.

No one can predict when pressure or stress will get to them.

Seems you need to learn a lot in life before posting!

She could have given no reason but that she needed a break. People don’t need your approval to take care of themselves.

How about the ones who came out and said they were disappointed and kind of mad?

Fair enough. I don’t know the particulars as I stated previously I haven’t been watching.

There’s enough stuff going on in the world far worse than someone having a meltdown at the Olympics I am not interested in watching a bunch of entitled brats cry about personal issues.

I’m disappointed and kind of mad at you. So, you should probably go into your corner and think about that for awhile.
