Oh I almost got one.
In that discord, I had the opportunity to spend $1600 on a Zotac 3090/PSU combo.
It lasted on newegg for the longest I’ve seen any deal. 3090’s are much easier to get, then followed by 3070, with 3080 being the hardest.

No, just 5800x on amazon a couple times for $449, but they were way out to January dates.

Because if I stick with the 5800x in order to keep it I have to return my 10900k and the motherboard. However I sell the 5800x I can go back to the 10900k and sell the 5800x and motherboard

Return the 10900k, get the $289 10700KF for gaming
Then when the opportunity presents itself, get an additional 5900x with the savings!

As I said man I can’t deal with eight cores I need more. So Intel really only has one option for me which met all my needs and performed beautifully.
I should have just stuck with it and called it a day to begin with but I guess I was having a touch of Grass Is Always Greener syndrome

Well due to intels quicksync with Adobe Premiere the 5900x is virtually indistinguishable from the 10900k. The only place it probably notice is gaming.
Well keep the 10900k then lol!

I was just finally trying to move to team red for once but it looks like I may just stick with the 10900k and sell the 5800x. Then like you all upgrade in 2022 and switch the team red then if they are still the better option.
If the 5900x was readily available on Amazon and what not it would be a different story but I just don’t have the time to watch it some Discord 24/7 to try and get one. As you have already stated the 5800x was easy to get. That processor is the ugly stepchild that nobody ever really wants or asked for. Its either 5600x or 5900x

No it’s me I use the free transfer to get the heck off Area 52 the Q was ridiculous.
And I still haven’t returned my 10900k because I have till January to do so.
So this would be more of a Switchback because I can’t find a 5900x. But I do have some feelers out on various websites looking for one

3060ti, if available (lol) will take the spot for best value for the money.
As fast as a 2080 Super, semi-competent Ray Tracing, and DLSS.
If you can get one for $400, it’s a great deal.
As things are shaping up, even if AMD launches a 6600/6700, they will be ridiculously overpriced (much worse than Nvidia) and that will kill the value sentiment.
