And we won’t. we will keep requesting it. the fight will continue.
Too many elf races already though. You got Void Elf, Night Elf, Nightbourne, Bloodelf, and if you count the Demon hunters as their own type of elf that means you got 6 elf types. Even if you don’t that is still 4. That is a lot of elf in a game that is suppose to be more based on Orcs and Humans. And a lot of elf for a race which is supposedly suppose to have a relatively low population. People ask how another elf would affect anyone negatively… It would affect immersion greatly seeing even more people representing in the elf to other race population. We need more race options first to dwindle down some of that elf population which is entirely too high atm.
At this point a new race slot being used by High Elves would be insulting to many. I’m sure plenty of people would want something new than another elf race that looks the exact same as void elves but with different racials.
I wonder if people would request elf stuff less if they liked the customization for other races equally. As in, letting worgen not have to turn into a worgen even in combat, let them just be human druids essentially, More options for humans for younger faces/ less middle aged man. More options for night elves to be at least semi civilized looking without only super bushy eyebrows but slightly smaller. no pot belly for kul tirans and maybe a velen option for Draenei would get more people interested in draenei. Then work on animations. Some plain just don’t like animations for a lot of them, including male night elf casting animation . As well as smaller eyebrows for night elves.
Personally, I don’t see that many void elves all together. Night elves are mostly played because they are the two of the more popular classes, DH and Druids. Which DH are right behind hunter and paladin. Though I personally believe night elves should be paladins.
the silver covenant group, they won’t be satisfied until they are in game.
This is what blizz risked by adding void elves. they only have themselves to blame for that. I am sorry you feel insulted, but we will still request high elves. I only wish VE’s did not steal skins from BE’s.
If they added HE’s or half-elves they wouldn’t be requesting so vehemently alliance side. We would be settled at that point.
When they first appeared they only had 13 members literally.
Yup, or either half-elves sub faction of them that carried they’re lore.
How do you justify an exact replica of a Blood Elf but with blue eyes take up an allied race slot?
By giving them a new model, styles and postures to work with that slot? Or have half-elves carry the silver covenent lore? Both can work better then VE getting BE skin textures.
Would be more popular than the exact replica of gnomes but with mechanical parts
by the fact they live by a different ethos.
simple as, nothing else required.
Postures? like what? You know allied races are mostly just reskins with the exception of Zandalari and KulTiran which was one of the marketing points for BFA. This is not the case for Shadowlands- if there were going to be new models, they would have been part of the initial push for the expansion, and then you would also need a new model for the other faction…
Don’t even know what this means…I’m talking about real life work practicality for Blizzard, taking up an allied race slot with a blue eyed re-skin, and you are talking about … lore?
Sorry but mechanical parts > a different eye color. Its way more unique, more visual, and more effort on Blizzards part.
half elves are pretty much just arator and vareesa’s children are the only ones I know of.
I am interested in the time skip where we see the half elf children become mages or something though.
yes, lore. the only thing that matters.
people that don’t care about lore shouldn’t get an opinion on the issue.
It’s a possibility, would be cool to have scenaro’s of us checking up in azeroth in different times in the xpac to see how things are in motion during the time skip.
I pay for a subscription and actively play the game, so I can have an opinion- thanks. And if you want my opinion- I care approximately 0% about lore. I rather Blizzard focus their efforts on the actual game-play and content. Maybe you should stick to classic if it makes you that ticked off.
sorry, but i’m not a suited up little subhuman from the marketing department, so your $15 is meaningless to me.
i care about the soul of the game, its core. don’t care about that, don’t deserve input on its direction and what gets added.
And yet all of that effort is the lowest allied race in the game, whereas the top is “Take the VElf model, make the hair tentacles, recolour the skin like the DK skins”
If you were the person allocating time and money to models at Blizzard, would you want low effort things resulting in all of the racial switches? Or high effort things that no one rolls?
Again, no idea what you are trying to say.
Who decided the core of the game is lore? Last I checked most players play the game for the content, not to run around and RP in Moonguard. If you were in charge of the games direction, there would be 0 content and 150 races
I don’t think they could have predicted mechagnomes being the least popular, it was a cool idea and it flopped- oh well.
Eh, I’d have preferred they drew the Void Elves from the pool of High Elves in the first place, but this is fine. You can RP the differences really easily now. Much less suspension of disbelief needed to say you’re from a different organization than a different race.
Races and classes is set up by lore, if lore dictates say orcs liked humans, there would be orcs in the alliance. But it doesn’t so Orcs are horde. We respectfully are requesting an race that is close to the alliance to be playable either by HE or they’re children in half-elves.
