I laugh when Alliance premaders who are angry about not being able to exploit at the same level keep bringing up this red herring. What happened on PvP servers during P2 has NOTHING to do with what happens in AV. They refuse to separate the two because it’s the only way they can possibly attack these much needed changes. They know bringing up P2 is a red herring yet they do not stop because they are so desperate to justify their unjustifiable behavior.

Yeah it’s ridiculous to think that blizzard would intentionally make battlegrounds favor one faction specifically as a way to “balance out” what happened in world pvp.
Its pretty much the equivalent of being like " hey so, world war 2 was really messed up, you germans totally screwed over the French, because of this the French should be allowed to have major advantages whenever they compete with Germany in the Olympics as compensation"
It makes no sense, they are entirely unrelated, world pvp is NOT a competitive game mode. Battlegrounds however ARE, and as such should be designed with competitive integrity in a vacuum. What happens in world pvp on your server should have ZERO effect on how battlegrounds are balanced

Which would make it more balanced due to the initial huge buffs that alliance has had in AV since it released. Oh, are you still bitter about corpse running to BRM back in November?
Ehhhh, I’m not so sure. Premades didn’t really start popping up noticeably until maybe what, late into the 2nd week of AV? Maybe even the 3rd?
Because the way I recalled it was this:
1-3 days in. All top PvErs rushed Drek in 6-9min. Got Exalted, many didn’t come back.
4-8 days in. Drek rushes getting countered. Games extended to 15-20min. Rather than a 90% alliance win, it became more 50-50.
9 - 12 days in. Horde adapted while Alliance didn’t. Many still think Drek rushes work and found the hard way that it didn’t… but kept trying to do same thing over and over again (insanity). Alliance win rates down to 30%-40%
12+ days in. Pugs usually lost AVs, therefore premades started forming to have some chance at winning. Then it progressed to more HpH strategies.
3 weeks in. Premades disrupted the whole AV ecosystem. Pugs were starting with 10v40, and practically no Pugs would win. Either join Premades for any chance of winning, or give up the rep/rank grind.
What I’m trying to say is that back when we had “good” Alliance players in the pool, before premades, we had already started losing significantly. I really doubt the threat of Horde never winning AV again, is really going to fly.

Yes AV is f/$…d up and honor grind is totaly irrelevent the way it currently is BUT… Reducing the decay for honor kills in the world ??? ARE YOU THAT MUCH BLIND THAT YOU CAN’T SEE THE 70-30% HORDE/ALLIANCE poppulation on servers and horde ruining classic all together for the alliance ? How do you intend to keep your CLIENTS, because yes, that’s what we are, clients, in classic ? It’s almost impossible to do anything in this F%?&&$D game anymore in the world since you released pvp or should I say… AV PVE GRIND rewarding people that have eiher no friends and family or no jobs.
So yeaaaaa. lets keep the horde griefing alliance at FP OR ANYWHERE in the world really. who gives a damn about alliance anyways.

Just FYI, at some point in vanilla wow life, honor decay was at 10%. I don’t recall precisely which patch/version tho because right now things are getting mishmashed into a weird combination.

Uh… rolling on a PvP server was strictly a player choice. Having known that in Vanilla, and knowing I didn’t have time to deal with WPvP this time around, I personally rolled on a PvE server. See how that works?

Horde players are their clients too. What solution would you propose that would workout for both players? You can’t demand something be done for you and not the other…

Welcome to Vanilla/Classic? Regardless of AV being the best Honor grind right now, back in Vanilla it was always about the person who had the most time to invest into this game, to get the highest rank. If this is not your cup of tea, I think Retail is more your flavor.

I’ve been playing on and off since 2006. I have max level characters from most classes, and from both factions, on a few servers.
But this level 59 paladin summarizes all my experience with WoW?
Fixed that for you, being that if you were on another server, say Heartseeker, you would be the 70%, and on yet another, you’d be close to 50/50

Yes and no, that depends on if you make a post from the bank toon that you let your kid fiddle with, who has been level 27 through most of the 1st grade.
Then that will become the sum of all experiences.
Must be some kind of forum rule or something.
Blizz are doing this to make players go back to retail, it’s that simple!!!

You’re assuming all players, playing Classic came from Retail. I and pretty much all my friends quit Retail years ago (back in Panda) and only came back for Classic. Pretty sure a lot of people did this as well, and that was the whole point of classic.
If anything, if Classic turns into something completely unrecognizable for the Vanilla fans, they’ll just quite altogether, seeing how many of us simply don’t care for retail…
