Lmfaoooo “their desire for pvp” HOW DARE THEY DESIRE PVP IN A PVP GAME
This right here is the biggest sign of Blizzard’s bias. Horde get to pick where they want to fight because their headstart lets them hit us as we reach Balinda. Horde get to pick every match whether they flank, cut off Alliance, avoid Alliance- basically they get the choice of how the match plays out every time, solely because Blizz decided to give them the entire central part of the map for free.
In any form of battle, being able to choose the time and place of engagement is a massive advantage. I would just love to see the cave positions flipped so Horde are leaving IBGY at the same time Alliance reach it, and to give us a path up the hill behind IBGY since for some reason we have to reach IBGY through a narrow choke that has archer support- and the Horde can reach SHGY from any direction they want- past the bunker, on the near side of Balinda, on the far side of Balinda, and they can do so while avoiding both bunkers’ archers with ease.
Basically, every single part of the middle area- the GY chokes, tower placement, archer support, the pathetic weakness of Balinda vs how powerful Galv is, and of course the huge headstart- all benefit Horde massively.
Horde wanna talk about how premades and pallies aren’t fair- but don’t have a problem with how one sidedly designed the map itself is.
And that’s the attitude that created the entire situation. I figured it would rear its head again after the “Poor horde, pitty the horde.” spiel worked its magic on Blizzard.
Can we all just sit back and chill? Let’s take a moment appreciate that these changes are going to screw over EVERYONE not on PVE servers in the long run.
Horde queue times went down this weekend because people were rushing to get rep out of the way before it turns into a complete shot show. I give it 3-4 weeks before queues hit an hour since fewer shell games will be created. This will drive the horde into the world to farm the alliance for longer, which ties into the next point.
Alliance pugs, and minority factions on wpvp servers are going to get bent OVER for nearly 3 times as long because of the honor changes, driving more and more of them to quit - drastically increasing queue times and faction imbalance. If you thought phase 2 was bad…ohh boy this is gonna be good!
Premades? Meh, the top tier ones will find a way to maximize honor per hour, they are already doing the calculations on the next most efficient way. Prepare for the same thing that was happening in AV to happen in WSG, only with fewer pugs since no one is grinding rep in that hell hole. The only ones functionally hurt by this are the tier 1/2 premades which were giving the horde decent PvP games(sub 50% win rate in my experience). They are just going to give up the grind most likely
Now it’s going to be all curb stomps since none of the top players are gonna rejoin the general population. This will again drive down alliance population and increasing queues.
20v40 is still a joke, better than 5 but not meaningful in the long run. Still gonna be one sided stomps.
Queue as 5 is good, nothin to say here.
Overall this is very much a cut off your nose to spite your face situation, and as someone done with the rep grind on all my characters? Thank you, thank you blizzard for giving me a front row seat as you accelerate the rate at which a majority of PvP servers burn themselves to the ground.
I can’t WAIT to see the posts where horde can’t get into AQ 40 because they drove off all the alliance and turned their servers into PVE!
So once again, thank you blizzard. You had the opportunity to stop the horde/PvP servers from destroying themselves and instead put them in the fast lane. I fully intend to sit and watch this train wreck in real time.
The forum avatars do not indicate the accurate level the character shown. I’ve been 60 for weeks, now, yet it shows 59 (and I like it, because it seems to be a sticking point for a lot of people for some reason.)
I also have another level 60 toon that I’ve abandoned.
Regardless - AV affects everyone from level 51 though 60. Pretty much everyone in the game has played it before, so I’m not sure why the “you’re not 60” even matters.
And u know what?
Blizzard will nerf paladins because horde is already crying.
Step 1… Bubble
Step 2… Run to the waterfall.
Step 3… Rest of the zerg attacks Drek
If this is difficult, i can only imagine how challenging it is for you to raid.
ban for what? communicate with discord to drop a queue, and join a certain one? wheres the exploit on this?
Can we keep Classic the same?
In [video games], an exploit is the use of a [bug] or glitches, game system, rates, hit boxes, speed or level design etc. by a player to their advantage in a manner not intended by the [game’s designers]
Gaming the system in a way not intended by the games designers.
It would be interesting to see what effect of blocking the left side of IWB would have…
I think the Alliance is afraid to defend their base because whenever they do, their primary choke points can always be circumvented by manipulating various terrain elements.
I think the primary reason why Alliance seeks all-out-offensive strategies is because they can’t see any way toward victory from a defensive position. Once the Horde caps SHGY, it’s really difficult to recapture it…
Honestly, though? if you sent a rogue/druid team to assault IBGY and had somebody swipe SHGY between spawns while it was undefended and pushed out of SP? You’d have us cave spawning and would be able to retake anything we back-doored at the same moment as defending SHGY until it capped with relative ease…
Perhaps IW isn’t the inherent source of the issue.
I just remember it used to be neigh impossible to capture SP while it was defended because the runback was simply too long and people would drop like flies from ranged attackers casting/shooting through the terrain walls. If the Horde did well, you could expect to see a game where the back & fourth was going between IW and SP for significant lengths of time.
The exploit would be circumventing the queue system. Come Tuesday no more than 5 in a group are intended to queue together.
That’s not an exploit, it’s a game mechanic
Safe spotting is a “game mechanic” as well. Being a game mechanic does not = legitimate.
Youre going to wait an hour and continue to lose in 6 min since the good alliance will be back in the general player pool. You’ll also no longer have free wins when ally starts with 20 or less people. Enjoy 90 min queues and never winning av
Good luck with that. Now that 5-man friend squads are available, your “good alliance” will actually have coordinated opposition. As for the long queues? Few horde actually have an issue with it, and it results in more time playing the rest of the game, including but not limited to smashing you in WPVP.
going to make it worse…
So many of these yahoos refuse or fail to see that Blizz acted SOLELY for this reason and the post is clear as day. Maybe they need to reread that introduction.
Says he’s concerned about the Horde and their rising que times yet in the same breath shows equal disdain for them. So much contradiction in this comment right here. Wow. Just wow.
