It wasn’t just Horde that complained about AV, but also the Alliance that where not in premade units. So you had two factions being screwed over by a elite few that didn’t want to play with there own faction, that stacked the deck so they could win at a alarming rate. Regardless most every post I see always blame’s one side but never says there side might be guilty of the same thing.
I play Horde and I get blamed for the things that happen on PvP servers even though I no longer participate on PvP servers since I was on the receiving end of Alliance dominated servers years ago. We also must take this into affect, PvP servers are not met to be fair, it’s war. In war everything is fair game and it’s up to the people to try and figure a way to win, and I have seen some very creative Horde and Alliance take it to the opposing faction that dominates.
Short of making all PvP servers PvE and allow people to toggle wither they want to PvP or not might be the only solution. Locking it so that only x amount of people can be on at any given time per faction could work but Blizzard would also be shooting themselves in the foot. Who decides who can log in, which raids get screwed over because to many of one faction is on.
The Horde do have a strategy to break the Alliance zerg strategy and it has worked but is very hard to implement with so many random people. As far is why doesn’t the Horde make there own premade teams? Queue times make that nearly impossible. When you spend 30+ minutes waiting for a queue to pop you can’t dodge and re-queue to get more of your team into that match. Horde use to have 2-3m queue times, but as more Alliance got there reputation and people got screwed by there own faction our times went up.
I am sorry to tell you but your bowman have a much longer range then the horde. There is a ram out in the FoS that roams around a rock cropping just SE of Belinda. You bowman can hit that far out and usually start just when we reach the trees on that east side.
I have watched many times when the Alliance runs the east wall they go around the bunker making there path much longer. If they where to just run straight instead of veering right they would shave time off there run and smack into the Horde just before we get to the 1st bunker where your archers start to shoot at us.
But lets not forget it depends on the speed of your mounts and the premade teams tend to get further into the FoS then your average pug teams. With premade teams maybe not being able to cherry pick there teams as much, maybe the true pug alliance teams will have more of a fighting chance, and yes Horde have the same AFK / Bot / people that the Alliance has, we just don’t discriminate as much.
The horde destroyed their already slow que times by turtling every match. Which caused them to turtle harder as they wanted to never give ground or accept a fast loss. Which made their que times even slower.
The horde’s pride and desire for pvp created much of their slow que problem.
That is extremely weird, that you say your win / loss rate changed that dramatically. In the beginning of AV I was winning around 1-2 match every 10 because the Horde did not turtle, and barely defended. Match’s where around 10-15 minutes because it was faster to just kill Belinda and LT, cap 1st two towers then let Alliance win. Because of the fast queue times I was averaging about 3 match’s a hour.
Then came the premade teams that win 9 out of 10 times. We sit in que for 30 minutes and loose in 8. We chase allies when they break from behind SHB or just as they appear from left side of Belinda. These groups destroy our token anti-zerg when Alliance stop with all 40 people verse our 10. They then ride onto Galv, then to Drek never needing to take a GY, or Tower and then Paladin pull the war masters out and rest of raid runs into kill Drek. Barely any PvP happens but occasionally the Alliance flex’s on IBGY and during Drek attack.
I am sorry, but I call a farce on this. It doesn’t matter if we turtle or accept a quick 8 minute loss. Our queue times do not improve. I have been doing this for the last three weeks, and it’s all because not enough Alliance want to PvP anymore. Why, could be they got what the wanted from PvP (a cheap 100% mount or other purple gear) from reputation grinding. They got tired of being screwed over by their own faction which threw them under the bus and to the wolves.
You guys want to have wPvP, then you need to understand unless the queue times decrease, Horde will be out in the world hunting down what few Alliance they can find because some elitist want to cherry pick teams to HpH. And for your information, a quick Alliance win, usually sees about 10 if that PvP kills, it’s only when the Horde gets stuck against a undermanned or true pug do you see those 15-20 minute match’s where Horde dominate.
Seriously enjoy the game, help your fellow lower tier Alliance get better, it might not be all peaches and sunshine for a week or so, but eventually it go more 50/50. But if you join a BG to not PvP what was the point to joining it, to avoid wPvP? If that’s the case why roll on a PvP server and not a PvE. If you can’t handle the heat, get away form the fire.
I accidentally got into a premade last night. The people in the premade did a couple of things to get rid of us pugs. They opened a portal to Darn and said they needed help summoning a tank that was stuck into a wall. They got one pug with that.
They also did something that acted like I was reported for being afk then it said I needed to type /afk to stop being banned.
Of course I did not fall for that either.
The good thing is that it was a fast win and I got over 3500 honor which I have not seen in a month or more.
Of course next games were all less than 20 against 40 horde killings. All had me join after Horde already had wiped the few Alliance members and captured all the middle of the map.
Really…that’s an interesting take since those 8 groups won’t be able to coordinate on whether or not to take the AVs that pop since they can’t see the numbers.
