I want to make a premade 40 man vs pug so I can feel like I’m good at pvp why you want to hurt me blizz zugzug

I just don’t, in the end, think that “faction balance” fixes what sucks about being a normal PvE player on a PvP server, namely that 4 jackasses can work out their frustrations by ruining your day.

I guess there’d be a few less of them if the factions were balanced, but not THAT many less. That’s why I figure the sooner people figure out they thought they wanted to be on PvP servers, but they didn’t, the better.

And there are powerful forces working to increase imbalance over time. Say factions are almost perfectly balanced 52-48, except Horde is also 5% more likely to want to engage in pvp. Now you’re up to 54-46. But Alliance PvPers have instant BG queues and many sit in them all day, and Horde don’t. Now it’s 60-40. Alliance now loses all zerg wars in the open world, many decide they are no longer interested in fighting in the open world, and now it’s 70-30. Etc. etc. etc.

If I had infinite time, I’d only play on a pvp server if I planned to PRIMARILY focus on pvp. Get my group of buddies and fly around farming FP gankers. Stealth into BRM and slaughter all the AFK horde waiting for level 52s to try to get to BRD.

No, now that’s just a straw man. I never said you were part of a problem for choosing which faction you prefer to play.

I said you’re part of the problem because of the mentality that you use which is, “roll dominant faction to enjoy the game or don’t QQ.” Which is something you stated clearly more than once.

You can take that as a personal attack, but it has nothing to do with your character, but rather your position that you’ve stated multiple times.

Did I ever say anything about premades? I think that they’re broken and it’s a good thing they’re removing them.

But yeah, it was the only way most Alliance could enjoy PvP because of how awful world PvP has been in Classic.

So now, there’s the option of queuing with some friends in a giant battle of afk farmers and people rep farming, getting zerged in world pvp, or throwing together a WSG premade and maybe have some fun and fall behind in ranking.

… Nah, I’ll probably just stick to dungeons and raids till they figure this stuff out or Classic TBC comes out.

This is exactly what I was expecting to do when I rolled on a PvP server. Unfortunately, no one world pvps because of how awful the honor gain is compare to AV. And then there’s still no alliance pvpers in the world because of queue times being so short.

And we come full circle. This could all be solved if queue times were atleast somewhat normalized with relatively balanced faction population.

I do think realistically you have to choose between having fun and ranking.

I didn’t mean to imply that the use of discord was the reason for all of Blizzard’s changes. However, give the other changes a chance.

For example, the fact that honor doesn’t diminish as significantly should encourage more players to engage in player versus player combat in AV, rather than simply zerging (although I don’t know if this is Blizzard’s motivation for the change).

The change to allow players to join AV as a group, well, I’m not sure why that change is being made either. I hope it encourages more strategic play however. If it eliminates the need for players to always use Discord to have a tolerable experience, awesome.

All I can visualize is a bunch of Blizzard/Activision chuckleheads sitting around a table strategizing on AV. So, let’s make the run from the horde keep a little shorter so horde gets to Balinda before alliance gets to Snowfall. Let’s keep the exploits at the hill behind South Bunker so horde can avoid the bridge gauntlet. Let’s let an outside entity-Discord- take over our entire game, allowing group premades when AV people can’t even group enter. Let premades dictate how the game is played when they enter. Let’s have horde queues long and alliance short, but they can start with less than half their players. Let’s make bosses easy to get to and kill. Let’s make games short. Oh and let’s continue to tweak the game and continue to wait weeks and months to respond to gamers who are continually gaming the system and not playing the game.
So after 15 years of experience, nothing is learned. The Blizzard/Activision merger was a foreboding of disaster which has soured everything Blizzard has entered into since. So, back to the meeting: the marketing chuckleheads won and the AV brilliance of the past is and remains in the dustbin of history.

So the majority of players?

i completely support everything that makes bgs more fair; but the extra honor they are giving now(yes it was 1.12 that way) is just not fair to the minority; and none of this address issues of AFK and bots; like as a horde I need to play 18-22 hours a day to not even be bracket 14 most of the time due to bots and account sharing

Alliance was PVPing. They just found a superior strategy to the horde’s pvp and instead of upping their game, the horde, well…

We’ll see won’t we

If you feel that’s how this will all turn out then that’s quite alright. But you do realize the 5 man group queue now just requires premades to have 8 people hit a queue vs 40.

However which way you want to put it, karma is a thing and you probably are too factionally biased to realize this.

Perhaps this will kill premades, it’s all a balance. But the real issue coming next is that AV queue sky rocketing for Horde if premades are in fact broken.

Sweeticle deeticle

Yes, but not queueing into a 7 minute loss half the time :stuck_out_tongue:

transfer to heartseeker, 80%+ is alliance there

LOL @ premade horde. Good luck against premade paladins. I swear this is going to be the next WoW Classic Forum Meta: NERF PALADINS!

What makes you think premades are going away?

You realize this change just means instead of coordinating 40 people clicking join at around the same time only 8 need to.

Premades are switching to WSG. This is actually GOOD for BOTH factions IMO, except for AV which will have longer Horde queue times…but putting Rankers in WSG is the way god intended Classic WoW to play so now we should at least get some decent PvP videos on the Interwebz, Rankers will square off against rankers, partially filled AVs won’t be a thing anymore, and people who really love AV and want 6 hour games will probably end up having that since anyone who really wants to rank will be in WSG.

We’ll so though, I could be wrong.

You did note that Blizz only said that AV would be 5-man queueable.
