Alterac Valley Adjustments Incoming

Sadly couldn’t free transfer off Fairbanks (one of the horde only transfers) due to our imbalance. It’s still quite bad. I came into classic blind, wish I had known that everyone would play horde this time around. Stopped playing PvP, it’s better that way.

There’s a conversation? Because you’re literally just crying.

I don’t pvp in BGs, but thanks for your concern.

Where did i ever say you couldnt play alliance? I never did, stop putting words into my mouth.

You wanna play alliance on a pvp server, shoulda chose Heartseeker.

I do feel for the new people here. I couple quick questions though woulda solved it.

You said “how do you know without statistics that the factions are imbalanced” to which I replied “Try playing Ally and then you’ll see.” Not sure how that comes across as crying.

You can’t speak if you don’t play both factions. I do. The games population is beyond broken and it makes the quality of the game worse for both sides.

Again, your solution is to play the dominant faction to enjoy the game… Do you really think that’s in the best interest of players of a two faction game?

Did it ever occur to you that mayyybe Blizzard should take some responsibility for server faction balance?

Son, I’ve played alliance twice as long I’ve played horde.(5 years as horde 10 years as alliance) I know from personal experience what it was like being outnumbered. i started out as horde in vanilla, the underdog faction for that timeframe in PvP

I don’t wanna here whinging about being the victem.

Edit: waiting for the “ok boomer” reply lol

That’s exactly what you said and then you just doubled down on it.

Your solution is to play the dominate faction depending on the server. Heartstriker (82 percent Alliance).

There is nothing wrong with the advice, only you trying to walk it back while doubling down…lol

No one’s a victim here.

We’re only proposing that Blizzard takes onus on making the game relatively fair and balanced for both factions. Why is that such a bad thing? As someone who’s played both sides you should be able to understand this.

Yet, you just say “lol your mistake. should have had a big brain like me”

No thanks. It’s people like you who are part of the problem.

If you could read, I’ve already stated the issue with this as “evidence”. It’s what you experience at a specific time that’s not reflective of any imbalance as a whole, if any.

So you have a level 60 Horde then? I played both factions in Vanilla, both factions experienced the same issues at any given moment. Stop crying or go to a pve server.

You’re doing a good job at playing victim.

I’m part of what problem? The problem that people choose a faction they prefer to play? Nice, I always wanted to be part of an ad hominem. my dreams have come true!

Let me get this straight. There are no reliable census numbers, we can probably both agree on this right? So logically, what is the next best level of evidence? You guessed it. Anecdote.

So when you say “prove it” and hundreds to thousands of players provide you with anecdote, we’re all of a sudden crying and victimizing ourselves?

No, we’re just telling you what the game is like currently from out experience and why there are so many issues with queues, premades, worsening faction balances.

Yeah, it’s not enjoyable, but I didn’t give up. I pushed through and enjoy ganking and world pvping with horde when I get the opportunity to, even if most of the time, it’s vastly in their favor. I play this game for PvP, but I’m not going to pretend that in it’s current state the game is healthy just because people like you don’t want to hear it.

Ok; Anecdotal evidence. I ran to LBRS the other night to help guildmates on their alts. There were 8 Alliance members outside of the instance portal, with no Horde in sight.

Using this anecdotal evidence, I can assume my faction is outnumbered 8:1 on my server.

Or, I just happened to arrive at the instance at a time where there were 8 Alliance and no Horde present. Hmmmmm…

I don’t think you know what an ad hom. is. That’s not an attack on your person.

There’s server imbalanced because of people with your mentality and Blizzards unwillingness to do anything about it.

Blizzard,

Have you considered altering the way queues work.

I don’t know how you’d code it, but it would work like this.

When people queue they are dumped into a big pool rather than into an instance. The pool cycles people out every 20 seconds or so into a series of random instances.

This means that premades would potentially be in a pool of 100 people and then split up when the pool cycles into actual AV instances.

Your head. :hear_no_evil:
Sand. :desert:

Now anecdotal evidence isn’t valid?

Shame.

IF there is any factional imbalance severe enough, as you say, to require a fix, what do you propose? I’ll just refer you to my previous post regarding this issue.

I don’t know, rather than punishing players why not add incentive?

Temporary free faction locked server transfers or XP boosts to non dominant faction?

But we both know that Blizzard will never do anything of the sort.

This game will continue to be broken and people will continue to pay for it.

It’s a shame because just about everyone I know (both horde and alliance) is having an awful time with this game. Yet, people like you still argue and propose no real solution other than QQ reroll.

Wow. It really isn’t all that different from Vanilla.

You told me me I was a problem for being part of the faction I play.

That is Ad hom. It is you who don’t know what it is.

What if there is no incentive enough to participate?

Again doesn’t mean people are going to participate in pvp.

Weird, I’m enjoying my time in the game. My guildmates appear to be as well. Maybe the game isn’t for you?
