The no changes argument is dead, other classes have abilities that CD now as well, make this change to help shaman DPS stay relevant as the Xpack continues - especially ele. At this time it’s the ONLY thing that keeps me up there with other dps.

I strongly believe Fire Elemental should reset on boss kill along with most major cooldowns.
There is no valid logic to not make it reset other than an oversight or not wanting to change it because of laziness.
The devs made the change to heroism/lust which was flagged like Fire Elemental as a different type of long cooldown, but at the end of the day, in the spirit of #somechanges, this is something that should be addressed.
Devs dont want raids to “wait for cooldowns”, and yet some top guilds are currently “waiting” for some cooldowns such as warlock infernals (refer to bipolar runs) fire elemental, army of the dead and more.
Devs should remain consistent with their stance on cooldowns resetting, and if we are going to reset heroism/bloodlust, there is no sound argument for not removing all cooldowns in general. No cooldown is more powerful for a raid than a 30% haste buff for 40 seconds for 25 players, so it only makes sense to be consistent here.

All jokes aside, it feels absolutely terrible to wipe knowing that your next attempt will be worse for an arbitrary reason. Basically every other class and respective specialization gets to play with an entire kit for every encounter while Shaman don’t get to use their weird, not-pet guardian totem that may or may not acknowledge a boss’ presence.
It’s simply strange at this point that we’re still forced to have this awkward conversation.

As I sat in OS doing some 3D Zerg progression we found ourselves waiting on mine and the resto shamans fire elemental totem CD’s. I thought to myself isn’t this the EXCACT reason they decided to reset cooldowns to begin with?

Not all classes have huge dps cooldowns like fire ele.
Tbh making any dps cooldowns reset per boss would be a huge nerf to classes without such dps cooldowns

oh no…we cant do that so that more dps are on even ground!
We already use it on most fights since 5 mins is a short cooldown. It just feels bad when you wipe and you don’t get access to your short CD but warlocks can still soul stone and druids can brez and dks can still Gary.

This will get worse as the tiers go on, when the ele spec is already struggling to be relevant in raids. The fact that blizz intentionally excluded just fire ele from the CD resets and didn’t offer any explanation as to why is baffling. Much stronger CDs are already being reset for better classes.
Already preparing for the pita it wil be in Ulduar progression, and doubt I will keep playing my shaman much past t8 - which is sad to say as a 12 year long ele homer.

100%, it’s not fun gameplay to hope for the raid to go slower to allow me to use my full DPS suite.
