I think this is a great middle-ground to be honest and would solve a lot of the problems like going from boss to boss and having it be 1 minute away from being ready and having to either make your raid wait or just do less damage for no reason.

Very much a needed change - it feels very bad / not fun that the class isn’t even one of the top performers and is currently excluded from this QOL change.
I have even heard of people starting to ask their raids to wait for it to come up if it’s close…which was literally the whole point of the CD reset in the first place.

Either FET should reset every fight, or (for a similar example) gary should not reset every fight. Especially since uhdk gets way more from gary than ele does from fire elemental totem.
Just doesn’t make sense.

Agreed. If I remember correctly, the basis for having Bloodlust and other CD’s reset on boss kills or wipes was because “it felt really bad to wait around for it to come back up” Fire Elemental is one of those CD’s that feels terrible to wait for after a wipe or kill. Especially if something like Gargoyle is up every time

Ele should 100% reset as well.
Shamans are fighting to stay relevant and doing what we can to be able to compete atleast for the middle… We’re only going to get weaker because of scaling issues and having this to at least help us be able to compete for the middle in later phases would be huge and beneficial.
If the middle ground is that we have to glyph it then I say; Absolutely.
Having lost a 15% damage increase if you wipe or fight the next boss too close to your last kill just feels awful, please give Shamans this one small quality of life improvement on a class that is nowhere near overtuned and will struggle to compete as phases go.

A little overblown but i get your point. Im the only shaman in the raid as the enh and lust bot.
Resto being garbage and ele being a meme is far more the issue of shamans not having a spot than our fire ele totem.
Raids will always need one of us! haha

This is needed 100%. Blizzard please make this change. People who have played Elemental shaman through Classic WoW are getting pushed out of raiding spots because of this. This minor change would be a great quality of life increase and let us compete with other DPS in Wrath.

Concur on this. When we were doing sarth 3d attempts in 10 man, the only CD we had to wait on was fire ele. Felt kinda bad when everyone else had their stuff ready to go again

Sucks to be not be able to use Totem of Wrath though if we want to use Fire Elemental as Elemental spec, though considering all the generic buff overlapping in WotLK, other classes in raids are probably providing the same buffs anyway (& they don’t stack). Shame that Elemental didn’t get a perma-pet Fire Elemental like Mage Frost spec can with Water Elemental.

This. brez and gargoyle are absolutely more impactful on the raid encounter than fire ele is and gargoyle only has a 3 minute cooldown by default

Trinket CDs are shared between trinkets of the same name, generally. Otherwise you’d see double Greatness on Druids.
