I do BGs for fun. Arena is hard, so I only play it if Iām trying to get something. If I have nothing to get from it, why play it?
I think this is part of the problem. Whatās free for one is impossible for another. Look at āfree 2400ā for proof
Keep legacy sets legacy and add more mounts, armor recolors, item enchants at more levels of play

What do you suggest the vehicle should be to earn old sets?
OP suggested Conquest points. That couldnāt be more free unless it was put on a vendor for 1 copper.
If the goal is to increase participation, then you would want to make it have some sort of a heavy grind involved
Iām just operating under the assumption that people are meaning for these rewards to be had at 1800 or less, since people are saying they canāt get 1800.
I think the only reasonable option for something like this would make getting one so rare that it doesnāt upset the balance of people who have them. Which is why I suggested maybe it be a reward for 2700 in 3ās since realistically a few hundred people might get it each season.
They tried that with the naxx 40 sets
Did you see how many smug casuals who had been gloating for weeks that they were gonna get t3 for free got hilariously mad when they found out that a whole set cost a minimum of 2.8 million gold or something like that while also needing to seemingly endlessly farm the pieces or buy them for more gold on the AH and have it all crafted by someone who already had the set and took the time to learn to craft it?
Thatās the kinda player we are talking about here

Pretty simple really. Glads are always the ones that ruin the game by trying to make a profit.
