Always been on the no train, recolors would be fine but the original coloration? No.
Worked pretty well.
A hefty grind that revolved around immersive questlines to obtain things forgotten has always worked really well for basically every mmo and it is something that wow has never really used or thought about which sucks.
It worked well for the people who already had them and were satisfied that the grind was worth
It worked well for the very small amount of people who were willing to grind it out, and props to them
It didn’t work well for the 95% of casuals who were actually angry they didn’t get the sets for free
As others have said in this thread, you could add the recolors back and make it a 2k+ reward, but the people asking for it don’t want that- they just want a reward for logging in the game
T3 isn’t that, and neither should elite recolors assuming they ever get added back
Nothing is better than having a elite set in a season when your class sucks, if people could just get it in the future then the rewards are not as cool. Some patches hunters are op and can easily get it while othertimes they suck
I’d be fine with old sets being obtainable, I have a lot of them, maybe 2k so people have reason to play past 1800 on alts.
However a 100 hour grind is still something very small portion of the playerbase will due but if your progress isnt reset every season then it would increase participation for anything that is involved in the quest. The 2 avenues for fashion (obvious endgame for any mmo) is skill or grinding and usually the grinding aspect is the most profitable if there are small goals being set for a larger picture, the people who grind it will have prestige from the grind if the grind is a long, this has been shown in basically every other successful MMO.
There should be a grind that isn’t currently present in wow.

Blizz should just do to these ppl what they did to gold sellers, sell it for cash themselves. I mean if its going to be this way anyway might as well have the company profit
