lol Give them an accordian and they will start singing about pizza pies.
I don’t really like Kul Tirans because they’re just example number one billion of Warcraft’s giant ugly tough guy races. It would have been a lot cooler to make a nautical-themed human variant that, y’know… didn’t have a giant potbelly and ogre faces? I want to be Flynn Fairwind, not Cyrus Crestfall.
Could’ve used the base human model but given it some fun pirate-themed customization options like anchor tattoos, hook hands, braided beards, and hey instead of making the already roided out humans even bigger they could’ve made them a more slender variant like people would probably prefer.
But I guess I’ve gone on enough about how if I was in charge the next expac would be Bishounenlords of Cutenor
Honestly that’s the only thing I respect about FFXIV, they’re not afraid to have pretty boys.
Now they won’t let hrothgar be women and that alone is the reason I refuse to play.
She was beautiful.
Too bad the quality is so poor.
this is only slightly better for quality

While I’m here and learning that i can post pictures,
the outrage that existed for too-feminine male blood elves but still making them the butt of jokes is an smh
Personally, I wish they’d skipped Kul’Tirans as a race and just made the models into weight options.
Personally I like the Nightborne males. They’re recovering Crackelves, they shouldn’t look pretty.
Also I’m curious if anything has been made by the fact the Shal’dorei actually RECOVERED from their Withering. You’d think there’d be plenty of Blood Elves with Withered blood coathing their hands having some moments of introspection to the culling of their own addict populations.
Appropriate that they’re from California considering they look baked.
A good neutral race could very well be Neptulon worshipping Naga, or maybe we could start seeing primary races heading to the other side.
Lightforged Mag’har to the Alliance, Kul’tiramisuian Pirate Humans for the Horde, stuff like that would be a hoot and also a big kick in the pants to the factions.
Alterac humans for the Horde.
Inb4 Broken Draenei are recruited from the harbourage in the Swamp of Sorrows.
But the more I think about it, the concept of being able to roll “criminal” versions of the primary races on the normally opposite side of the faction line appeals to me greatly.
Horde literally gets pirates and criminals. Alliance gets Lightbound “prisoners” from the Army of Light.
Best of all, Blizzard can just give them all one racial and the various “races” are just different skins for the one race.
Please, don’t remind us of Blizzard’s first betrayal. It still hurts too much to bear.
With the revel of the new-looking races in the factions, I wonder what sort of beings we’re going to wish for as allied races.
So… more Dwarves?
Another race that might make an interesting allied race is a brood of Saberon that crossed over with the Mag’har. Side with the Horde because we’re ‘familiar’ and they owe Geyara a debt.
The plant race that also crossed over, I forget their proper name, end up seeding dead Kaldorei to make more of themselves but Elunes gift instead resurrected the minds and souls of the dead Kaldorei in their new plant bodies.
I would really like a Mok’nathal and/or Ogre for the Horde, and Vrykul/Seaweed Vrykul for Alliance (You guys deserve some more big fellows).
Actually, the more I think about Kaldorei as plant people, the more I like it. It takes some of the sting out of B4A and the Kaldorei treatment by having a large swath of the deceased come back in a new form that both echoes their way of life and the promise of rebirth.
It’d also give a reason why the Bronze Flight helped the Horde out, because it was the only way to get Botani weakened enough that their life cycle could be hijacked to the point of reviving an entire species in such a way as to bypass the Shadowlands and deny Sylvanas at least part of her victory.
seeing the new races we’re gonna be working with in badouchlands, the most obvious would be kyrians for the alliance and venthyr for the horde, although i wouldnt mind a switchup and have alliance venthyr and horde kyrian
I’d rather just have Kyrians and Night Fae for the Alliance, and Venthyr and Necrolords for the Horde myself. Kyrians and Night Fae at least mesh well with the Alliance thematically and culturally. Venthyr might with certain parts of the Horde. Necrolords, well… They might be a way to soften the Forsaken image.
I’d prefer that the denizens of the world of the dead stay there and aren’t shoved unceremoniously into the factions for no good reason, tbh.
Well, the ideal thing would’ve been to drop the faction barriers or making faction selection an option for all characters, and then to introduce Shadowlands races as neutral races. Considering the disruption of souls to the Shadowlands produced such a problem as to drive each of the four afterlives to the brink of collapse, I would imagine they’ll have a vested interest in preserving the natural order of things.
If that means picking a side and going to Azeroth, so be it.
