Yeah. I think it’s very disappointing that we find out the cause of it and I tell blizzard what we find and they just tell me that they’re unrelated… it’s very frustrating that it’s taken this long and the community even figured it out and still nothing is done. Oh well, guess I’ll be afking on a character to try and be able to play the game.
I can verify that I took my hunter and ran quests as fast as I could until she dinged 50 and as soon as she did, I got the notice that I would be removed from Newcomer chat as soon as I logged out and back in. So I did that, and then tried to create and all my allied races appeared. This was less than an hour ago. So it’s definitely tied to Newcomer chat, or to getting level 50, etc. I’m just happy to have my races back.

Got a response from bliz after 3 days. told me it is a known bug that there is no current resolution for. I asked if i could start a char and be offered a free race change due to the inconvenience of lost progression time. I was told they do not offer compensation for bugs. Im almost at the 30 hr mark on this char, ill let you know if it fixes the issue.
I was already at the 30h mark and had this issue. As soon as I got my character to 50 and got the “graduated from Newcomer Chat” message the allied races were available. Seems like that’s been the fix for many of us. Pretty crazy that Blizzard isn’t acknowledging that Newcomer Chat is the problem, or at least that graduating from it is a workaround.
I sent in my fourth ticket now I think and this time I just said please give more clarity on how to get out of newcomer chat and that it is 100% what’s causing the issue based on what people are saying. It’s ridiculous that they have taken this long to find out what the problem is and fix it while we have all figured out what the issue is

Finally!! I just hit the 30 hour mark on a boosted character and it removed me from the newcomer chat and the allied races showed up.
im down to 166 n the que lol started at 5778. soon I’ll see how it goes for me.

You have to get out of “Newcomer chat” !
You will graduate out of newcomer chat after 30 hours of play time on one character. For some reason my old characters play time did not count, had to be on a recently made character. Just left it logged in.
After that the allied races creation comes up as normal

Hey guys just wanted to add my 2 cents, 30 hours did not work for me, boosting a character didnt work, had to manually level a new toon to 50 and got the grad message and the races, not sure if it’ll work for everyone but if you have the time and energy its worth a shot.

So somehow my ticket has reappeared after disappearing. But they answered me with this response;

This is a known issue at the moment, something the WoW Team are very aware of and working to get resolved for everyone having this bug.
Right now there are no workarounds for this sadly, but a fix is already in the works and hopefully will be possible to patch in soon.

So, hopefully this issue will be resolved soon. I’m really hoping. Trying to run through the questline to get the zandalari trolls unlocked now… It’s a bit of a pain. lol
I made a new character 2 weeks before SL and have over 50 hours on it. I unlocked the races and made them, then one day they just vanished.
I just logged in, and the allied races are back
mine are still missing :3
Yeah, mine are still missing too. Well, there goes my chance to play this weekend too. Gonna be at work the rest of this week. Thanks blizzard!

Hey y’all, I got to lvl 50 on one of my characters from BFA and it removed me from newcomer status. I can see my allied races now, hope this helps someone out ;(

Having the same problem for 3 days. Open one ticket but got no respond yet.
Does anyone know if the 30 hours is based off the character or your accounts overall playtime to get out of the newcomer chat? I’m only around 6 hours on my level boosted character that I did the allied race questing but around 20 hours on my other character I’m leveling like normal. Hopefully once I “graduate” I’ll be able to make my allied character.
