Allied races not showing up on character creation screen

I am having the same problem for days!!! It is sooooo frustrating specially cause I just paid 6 months… and I just unlocked Void Elf! And Not be able to create one os a pain… :frowning: I hope they fix it soon.

My girlfriend just had the same issue. Changing servers and back again fixed it.

I unlocked the Void Elf and Lightforged Draenei and I’m having the same issue.

I submitted a ticket about this and they pretended that I didn’t even have the achievement yet. Most likely a canned bot response. They’re just ignoring the issue.

This was their ‘response’.

Ya, sure you looked at the issue. Sure.

P.S. I had to delete most of the links cause apparently I’m a new user that can only post 2 links. Okay Blizz.

I had the same problem, but I think that there are new requsites for unlocking them, this worked for me

  • Have a 50+ charachter
  • Have 30+ hours played character (recently created)

Update I have 30 hours now, I was at 10 so I needed 20 more hours. I had the game running every day as I was doing something else. I just made sure to push jump every now and again. I changed the key bindings just for this bit, so both buttons on my wireless mouse were jump. I now have access to the allied races as of 6 hours ago.

Play 30 hours with any character?

I just unlocked the void elf and light forged as well and I’m having the same problem

Same issue. I unlocked the zandalari trolls and still no allied races are available on the character creation screen.
I have about 29 hours played on my current character. If the allied races magically unlock at 30 hours I will post an update.

Confirmed. This is due to being flagged as a “newcomer,” whatever that means.
Once my character hit 30 hours /played I saw a message in chat congratulating me on not being a newcomer anymore, and now I have access to the allied races.

This game is far too willing to waste my time. 30 hours played should be listed as a requirement in the achievement.

What is a “newcomer?” I’ve been playing wow since 2007.

Is your character a new character or one you’ve been using before? I just resubbed after a year or more of not playing and bought Shadowlands. Played one of my mains yesterday and got the achievement for unlocking void elves, and they’re not showing up. Haven’t played for 30 hours with her since i came back yet, though. When I type “/played”, it shows the 27+ days I’ve played her, yet I’m considered a newcomer. Maybe the 30 hour thing will still work with her? Some people say it has to be a recently made character, so idk what to do. [EDIT]: The character shown as my avatar is not who I play anymore. The one I’ve been playing is lvl 48, lol.

This was on a new character. I did the allied race achievement and got 30 hours played on a character I made about a week ago. The 30 hours was what finally let me see the allied races in the character creation screen.

Is there any documentation about this “newcomer” status. It is obnoxious.

Oh. Ok. So maybe I should make a new character just to see if that works. This is so lame. And the fact that bliz doesn’t seem to give a s*** doesn’t help the matter. I’ll try that, though. I’ve been here since the end of Wrath, minus the recent gap between Legion and Shadowlands. /sigh Thanks for your input. Hopefully this will solve it.

Same I had last played back at legion and off and just bought shadow lands Friday. I just checked all my old characters and the longest time played was 9 days and when I log on I’m getting the newcomer message, so is the 30 hours played and level 50 the fix?

And if so can I just leave the new toon I had started just logged in over night?

It would seem that way. That makes no sense though, I had the vulpera, light forged drenai and the void elf all unlocked. Was even able to make a character with them. Then, boom. One day I log in and this all happened. I’m at 22 hours right now. I guess we’ll see what happens.

Can confirm. Changing servers, then back again fixed the problem for me.

By changing servers are you doing a character realm transfer?

Well, I just hit 30 hours with my level 52. Looks like someone at blizzard made a new requirement and didn’t tell anyone. Apparently, to get your allied races you have to graduate from newcomer chat and be level 50. Cause they all just came back for me.

Ya, I was going to post the same thing. I just hit level 50 and they all appeared. Been gone since Legion.

Makes me wonder if it’s a bug or a feature.

I had this problem. Not sure what I did but yesterday after unlocking Highmountain Tauren race (second allied race I unlocked), I was able to see allied races on the creation screen. It could be possible that playing for 30 hours makes it appear or graduating from Newcomer chat (though I did not get any notice that I graduated). I would say just keep playing and it will either appear or Blizzard will fix it.
