Just came back, haven’t played since last year and I guess I have newcomer status even though I’ve been playing since launch - on an off for the last few years. I only have nightborne unlocked but I can’t even see allied races on character creation. Heck, I even have three nightborne created from when I played last year.

If this is not fixed or made right with a race change by the launch I’m seeking a refund and I’m never coming back
All they have to do is say we will give you a race change since you were effected by this bug but no they will even use this to get more money.

It’s incredible if they would at least tell us we can start playing and they will give us a race change for later I wouldn’t even care but this no communication or help is a joke after spending 82 dollars to play. I just wanted to make a druid for this xpack and boost him.

In case anyone is still wondering about the issue with newcomer chat, I just confirmed that 30 hours of playtime on a character is what graduates you out of newcomer chat. This is almost certainly a bug. However, this unfortunately did not fix the allied races issue. I still can’t see any of the allied races in the character creation menu, even after being removed from newcomer chat.

I submitted a ticket this morning. I also did the troubleshooting steps in order to reset my UI. I also attempted to repair the game via the options menu. Nothing has worked for me so far. I still dont have access to the Allied races. I spent all last weekend drinding for the Vulpera, but it looks like imma have to wait. I also just checked and I still dont have access after Shadowlands went live.
Very disappointed with this level of incompetence… Submitted a ticket and got an automated generic response. I was hoping to make a Nightborne toon and level to level 50 for the achievement before SL drops. And yet here we are.
I would really appreciate if Blizzard could give an ETA for a fix or even a temporary workaround. I would level another race while I wait, but I am too cheap to pay for a race change that I shouldn’t have to buy. Plus, I still won’t get the achievement/heritage armor that way.
Extremely disappointed as well. Dropped $80 and spent 16 hours straight questing on a new account (so yeah probably newcomer status related) to get to level 50 and do Argus and the scenario for it. I want to actually play Shadowlands so I’m gonna go ahead and use my boost on another character. I did submit a ticket, and I really hope they give a free race change for affected accounts. If they do it wouldn’t be a huge deal for me but if they’re gonna make me have to drop another 25$ on a bug that’s one hundred percent on them to make me play what I want after all I did to unlock it before launch…

I am having the same issue. Cant find anything talking about not being able to create an allied race character online yet accept this post.

i am having the same problem i unlocked void elves and lightforged but they are not showing up on my creation screen there are no allied races at all there

Same issue here, maintenance did not fix, super disappointing feeling after grinding through voldun quest chain to prep for SL

i know i was hoping this patch would fix it i spent 3 full nights finishing the quests to get void elves i wanted that as my main for shadowlands
I am having this issue as well.
I can go to the embassy and see that the Vulpera have both green checks.
Went to WoWhead and loaded my character there and it showed everything was completed with the exception of reputation.
My friends and I were super excited to start shadowlands off together as a group with new characters (all Vulpera for theming RP goodness) but now I am left out of the fun. It honestly is disheartening. I have reset my UI more than once, I even uninstalled and reinstalled the game from scratch before the patch on the 24th. I do not have any mods downloaded/enabled at all. Super disappointed.

Blizzard had this issue under their “known issues” list for a bit but today they seem to have taken it off. It has not been fixed for me. Has it been fixed for anyone?
Starting to get really frustrated as I really wanted to level some of my new races but I can’t.

It is not resolved at this time. The Known Issues list covers the most commonly reported issues right now. With Shadowlands launch, we’re seeing other topics discussed more and so we’re sharing them there. ^KAL
i’ve been having this issue for a while now and this mornings maintenance did not fix it, it’s still an issue so it’s odd that they had it on the known issues list but took it off.

Yeah. Still kinda bummed. Ground up levels to get them unlocked for shadowlands but cannot create a character with the vulpera. Very sad at the moment.
