Yup just hit 50th on my old main and I droped the newcomer tag and have the allied races in character creation.
Update: I played for 30 hours and I finally can make my Void Elf, they are showing up!!! So that is it guys! Play 30 hours with any character u have! Thank u all for the help. Xo
Im still having issues, and my ticket had been open for about a week
I was able to get all the allied races back after getting a character to 30 hours of play time. Even though I had a character with 40+ hours, I needed to have a different one cross the 30 hour mark. I logged out and they were all visible again in the character creation screen. Hopefully this works for all of you and hopefully Blizzard can either tell us that this is a new requirement or fix the reason it is happening.
I’m still having issues. I have a character at level 50 with 1 day, 7 hours logged and after trying both logging out and server changing I still can’t see my allied races. Is there a way I can check my newcomer status or am I missing something else?
No. All I did was look at another realm, then go back to my home realm. No character transfer involved.
I’ve had this issue since resubscribing and completing the requirements to unlock the vulpera (getting the achievement and mount and everything) last week. I have since created a new character, leveled that character to 51, played for 36 hours, and gone on to complete the requirements to unlock the Zandalari trolls and the Mag’har orcs. Allied races still do not show up on my character creation screen. I created a ticket and got a response that my issue was known, but that my ticket would be thrown onto the pile, hopefully hastening the developer response. I’ve tried all the suggestions that have worked for others on here and am becoming increasingly frustrated.

Really don’t know what the issue is. I just lost my ability to create them again. I created one, and then the next day they were gone again. Blizzard, seriously please fix this. The Zandalari were a massive pain to unlock, and then you had me play for 30 hours just to lose it once again? >_< Not sure I wanna keep paying to play after all of this. I want to continue playing but, not with all this hassle. 
So I am a returning player, I leveled a boosted character to 60. Then made a Demon Hunter and leveled to 50. On the Demon Hunter I unlocked Vulpera but have not been able to see them or any other allied toons in character creation. I just “Graduated” from newcomer chat and still no access or even being seen. I have logged out and switched servers to no avail. This is the 3rd day in a row now that I have not got access to this race. I am getting quiet tilted.
I also unlocked Void Elf and Lightforged Draenei. I don’t have the newcomer thing anymore and I have a level 53 monk and a level 50 demon hunter. Why can I still not see my new races!
My wife is also having the same issue. I unlocked the Vulpera a while back, we just did all the quests and everything to unlock them for her so we can make Vulperas together. She got the achievement and everything yet they aren’t appearing for her. We have tried all the suggestions to fix it but they still aren’t showing up. It’s been almost 3 days since she unlocked them and still nothing.
Why are the Allied races, not showing up? This is not an issue with the install, or the interface from end user side, this is an issue on Blizzards side. Only reason I came back was to play a new allied character, and have been waiting patiently for the fix.
It seems that Blizzard will roll out the fix on 7 Dec. We shall see if the problem gets fixed.
Highly disappointing. Boosted my main for the purpose of quickly creating a HM Tauren to level with friends who are new to the game. Now I’m just sitting here with alts I don’t care about/party sync to play with them. A race change would be nice but at this point I’ll be happy if the issue is resolved at all.

Not sure if there actually was a maintenance today, but the problem is not fixed for me as of 10:00 AM, 7 December. Raid comes out tomorrow, so maybe they are packaging it with the raid patch.
A bit disappointing as I was hoping to start my toon today, but hey, I’ve been waiting for the fix for weeks, what’s one more day? As long as it does get fixed…

Issue has not been fixed for me. Still can’t create Void elves.
Are you able to see the Allied Races? If you can and it’s just greyed out, then it’s most likely a different issue than what I had; if not then I’d definite submit a ticket to Blizzard.
