Allied races for Worgen and undead: Nelf Worgen and San'layn

Despite being a staunch High Elf supporter I don’t have the same sentiment as I believe there is room for both. High Elves and NE Worgen fit two different roles as the latter would be a natural choice as a Worgen counterpart following the current AR pattern not to mention it has a lot of support as per lore.

High Elves fit a different role therefore I don’t think either addition, would or should affect the other.

I also like your idea of druidic flavor items as they all were Druids of the Pack, originally.

you truly think junker gnomes and another worgen race would even come close to vampire elves and vulpera population wise? Lmao it isn’t that I think horde shouldn’t get " neat stuff" it just means at least try to give both factions neato stuff ok kid?

Give alliance Dryads as an allied race and I,m on board for horde getting vampire elves /thumbsup

furbolgs are more likely to happen before dryads due to their skeletal structure.

also junker gnomes suck as an idea as gnomes as an idea compared to some of the other possibilities that might possibly be more interesting

Actually Dryads could easily be an allied race they would be in a humanoid form with cosmetically different night elven bodys for armor and probably most play and their animal form for whatever reason blizzard comes up with like for traveling similar to a druid form. with the burning of teldrassil and elune getting involved directly ( night warrior mode) I could see the dryads coming off the sidelines easily as children of cenarius.

Did you read what i said about how worgen could look like??? If you dont then its not my problem.

Also i never ever though that junker would come with vulpera. Gilblin would fit the bill way more since they are at least the same race as goblin ( this is the case for every other allied race). I dont say that vulpera will never be playable but not as a goblin allied race. In the next patch we will see both junker gnome and gilgoblin.

If you want to put down all your allied race option just to justify the '‘horde bias’ argument once again its your problem. But the way i see it it could be very fair for both side.

Junker gnome vs gilgoblin

Night elf worgen with the possibility to fight in a night elf forme ( with canine trait) vs san’layn but a bit more monstrous as they are now ( big sharp teeth and maybe the option of some bone since they are undead).

But would be a allied race for the original elf race of their faction. At this point if your only argument is that the blood elf model is more popular than the night elf model, its silly since the allied race is only suppose to give option for the race that was already in a faction. Alliance have night elf and horde have blood elf. Void elf in the alliance and nightborn looking like night elf on the horde should have never happen.

There’s one very simple reason as to why dryads will never become an allied race.

They’re all female. There’s no way blizzard would ever allow a race that limits it to one gender only. And don’t say there’d be male dryads because there ARE NO MALES. They’re daughters of Cenarius.

Not only that but there’s zero reason for them to get a humanoid skeleton; That completely eliminates the point of them being dryads. -_-

well it wouldn’t be to hard to have keepers added in for males /wink used dryads as a general description of dryads(girls) keepers ( men) if they make NE worgen different enough from human worgen maybe but I see it more as a copy and paste of not very good graphics.as opposed to san-layn where the females look like blood elves and the males look like night elves. IMHO NE( or any other base race really) saberons would be cooler and at least a new skin for an allied race no one needs more wolves with crap graphics sorry.

Sorry but you’re wrong and putting dryad as an allied race is incredibly stupid because they’re forest and emerald dream defenders.

and yet we play with them and kill them in some cases lol and cenarius is Elune son and can always be in play if blizzard( elune) wants him to be and just like the books malazan book of the fallen power draws power. The burning down of Teldrassil should have EPIC consequences as a line in the sand, bringing in more, for lack of a better term " ascendants" and their avatars/servents.

and yet it did happen. and you do not have to be a professor of statistics to see without any trouble the vast difference between general blood elf population vrs EVERYONE ELSE adding another highly desired race a facelift for the horde would only increase that little problem of imbalance exponentially. If elf related AR is our only option as it seems that is what most people are asking for …again… then the only allied race that would even come close to matching vampire elves is High elves for alliance and that wont happen. Therefore picking an allied race that is NOT AN ELF would be best for all involved.

Dryads were around long before the burning of Teldrassil, there’s no reason suddenly losing Teldrassil would cause them to grow and turn humanoid for either Keepers or Dryads, they didnt do it when Hyjal burned when Archimonde made out with it and they won’t do it now

AR’s are not about “matching” each other as far as theme. It’s more of what race fits into the mold to the factions currently.

Also, please do not derive the topic as this is specifically about San’layn and Night Elf worgen.

You’re free to make your own topic about dryads of course and the point is noted though as it stands right now, the story for night elf worgen 100% completely fits as a future allied race.

ok then my personal stance is no more elf based allied races. people are to obsessed with elves in this game. is it so hard to follow someone having a different opinion in a thread that at its core is about allied races I mean adding more threads about an allied race discussion seems wasteful to me but if people like a million threads about the same general subject than sure we can all post new threads!

All the anti-elf naysayers and it amuses me that this time it is an elf simply because it’s a race they don’t want.

Anyways back on the topic, I’d love the option of more fur colors; Personally still hoping for a pure snow-white fur color because the current one whenever you try to apply a different face to the white one the mane turns grayish

I saw someone suggest that the night elf worgen might not be able to go out of form. What do you guys think? Would they therefore be worgen with elf-like features and no shapeshifting out?

dryads are literally elves with deer bodies. you are playing as one of the two newest elf races too lol

idk where you were going with this

Eh, I am on the fence about it. Part of the affliction is having the ability to shift in and out of forms although with the Druids of the Pack/Scythe, they kind of stayed in their pack.

Personally, as a role player, I’d love to be able to shift into the Night Elf counterpart. Also, during Legion, Balance druids with the Scythe could cleanse a feral worgen in Val’sharah and they actually revert back to their elven forms. (There was no clarification that they were actually cured, my theory is that they simply regained their sanity and are still afflicted like the GIlneans.)

Lastly, about shifting. I REALLY wish Blizzard would allow FULL customization of the human (and elf if they become available) counterparts.

Hmmm good points! And yeah, I think they should be able to customize too, for sure.

basically throwing out a AR for alliance that might be almost as relevant and popular as vampire elves but im starting a new thread about a BETTER AR for alliance /wink don’t want to trigger to many people in this thread lol
