Probs already mentioned, but balance druids help some nelf worgen regain their sanity in valsharah
It did happen and it did was a mess so likely wont happen.
Ok so the horde should not get a allied race for the blood elf because the alliance player would be jealous and cant be as happy with any of their model??? If the alliance like our race that much they can still play horde.
So no elf because the alliance prefer the horde elf than their elf… The horde shouldn’t pay the prize for something because the alliance prefer the horde thing.
Now if this is your only argument you are free to leave this thread since you clearly bring nothing here.
It isn’t about jealousy such a millennial mentality. its about what is best for world of Warcraft. the Races left that do not have a counterpart are 1) worgen 2) gnomes 3) panderan 4) goblin 5) forsaken. people are twisting themselves in knots to try to get vampire elves by saying its a forsaken AR which is a ridiculous way to try to get another elf into the game. Oh and PS I don’t need your permission to enter or leave a thread as you are not a moderator have a great night!
You’re like a child throwing a temper tantrum lmao ^
Definitely, they need to be separately customizable. Original worgen as well. I wouldn’t mind fur and hair color sorta being linked, but everything else should be separate.
I’d prefer them being able to change forms.
I really couldn’t care less which have counter parts or not, I’d say the race making sense to join and that there’s a demand for it is more important.
I’m still holding out for Broken/Mok’nathal and Vrykul/Ogres as well. =]
I support this but they have to make them Nightsaber-like worgen. TO really make them different.
As for San’layn, I REALLY want to see some very very unique options. Like newer features even. Like bat ears, not giant ones like Gilblins but something more conservative and really cool.
Really make them look like vampires and give them a lot of options.
For Night Elf Worgen, they’d look like purple Worgen and maybe some beard options. Thats really boring and they look nothing different than worgen but shading.
With San’layn, with their unique options, they would probably be the coolest of out of the Belf model races.
Both Nelf Saber/worgen and San’layn would be the coolest elves to play.
I’m all for it.
Night Elves already have Nightsabers galore and it would be really cool.
I, personally, wouldn’t want them to look like nightsabers at all.
Wolf all the way. If they ended up with cat features, it’d make me less likely to race change my druid into one and I’m really wanting my night elven druid to be a worgen with wolf forms.
You’re speaking my language there. Definitely this. I was also thinking of a full set of fangs, all teeth sharp. REALLY get them looking dangerous.
Yeah, I’d think the typical single set of fangs. Maybe a dual set, and then the whole mouthful.
Then maybe could have 2-3 lengths. Then if you wanted you could have a female with dainty little typical fangs, or a whole row putting angler fish to shame
If you want to play a wolf, play a Worgen. Also Worgen have the normal cat, bear, and other forms. There will be no Wolf/cat form.
Cat/Nelf is much cooler and more unique. Purple worgen are just meh… If you want to play a werewolf, go play a Worgen already.
Here is my logic.
Want to play a Nelf? Play one. Want to play a wolf? Play one. Want to play a sabre/worgen? Doesn’t exist yet.
There is that toy that turns you into a cat. They already have something like it. A lot of veteran players I notice love to put it on lol. I really think the more unique route is what WoW needs.
Apparently the niche that would hate it are the people who like feral druids. I mean one spec of one class isn’t enough to opt out of something REALLY cool like this.
Its not about human vs Nelf. I get it. Its a niche thing but I think a lot more people would like sabre/worgen. Its really unique and hasn’t been done yet.
San’layn with bat like features could be unique. NOT too ugly but really give them some cool fangs, maybe even like partially hairy limbs with a bat wing-like ridge on their forearm?
Ok. Thats WAY too far.
Really cool features is what I expect from San’layn. Not just gothic looking belfs but really cool looking vamp/goth elves to make them look nothing like belfs. The options that make them more like belfs should be there still for sure, but give them really unique optional features.
I’m hoping they do bat ears and a really bloody looking colored eye option.
Don’t wanna play worgen, I’m wanting a night elf worgen, which is why I’m posting here in this thread.
And yes Worgen, unfortunately, do have the normal druid forms which is something I don’t like about them. That’s why the suggestions for NE Worgen druids are a dire wolf for guardian, and a smaller wolf for feral.
If you’re not going to embrace the whole wolf form idea, then why even bother?
We’re not asking for Saberon or something that looks like a cat. We’re wanting the original worgen which were druids embracing the aspect of Goldrinn to become wolves which developed into a curse and spread amongst other night elves.
Regular worgen having a cat form is disappointing as well. I might have played one had it been a wolf.
If they wanted to add saberon as some separate race, then sure, go for it, but not for Night Elven Worgen.
For San’layn…they could kinda go the route of void elves/worgen and give them a more monstrous form when they enter some sort of blood lust/buff. shrugs
Most people don’t play druids. I see your perspective but I have to say its not my preference.
Either way I really feel its worth making a saberon/worgen Nelf thread now.
I think Blizz is going to go back to the druids we have now, like Trolls, Tauren, Nelf, and Worgen, and redo their druid forms.
They really should do that rather than, in my opinion, make a race just for Druids to have fun on. The rest of the community is out there and having re-colored Worgen in my own perspective, as other people disagree, is not as cool.
I agree. Its pretty stupid how they did druid forms but when Worgen came out in Cataclysm, they made Troll druids as well. I think its worth going back and fixing the druids. Make them more unique at least.
Its all opinion anyways.
I’d like to see maybe like a purple tiger stripped option for Nelf/Saberon-Worgen then do a panther one. Options can be really cool.
Yeah, I’d probably play mine more if I could be a wolf =D
It’s why I’ve been a big fan of the night elf worgen idea.
Having an alternate saberon or even some sort of saberon forms as options for druids would be neat. There used to be one you could turn into in place of the feral cat form.
Redoing more of the druid forms to be race specific would be neat.
I like the KT feral form as it’s got the mane and tail that are wolf like…the saber tusks are the only real cat-like aspect of it. If they were coming from the lower jaw, it’d be even more wolf-like.
I still wish the Zandalari guardian form had it’s club tail =-P
Night elven worgen wouldn’t only be druids, but it’d definitely be a class option. During the war against the satyr, the worgen druids started infecting other night elves as well, so having warriors and hunters etc makes sense as well. I think the suggestion was using the original night elf class line-up.
Not I’m real keen on the purple fur and such, I wouldn’t mind if it was like highlights or subtle, but I’m a bit more of a fan or earthtones and charcoals and such, it does kinda make sense though due to night elven hair.
definitely…something like a bison would be a cool guardian form for Tauren too.
I’m still wishing there was an option for Raptor for feral Zandalari.
That could be pretty neat.
I just really like the idea of changing my NE druid into a fully wolf themed one =D haha
@Goten I would highly recommend you look at the Unofficial Nelf Worgen thread as there is a CRAP TON of lore and links there for you to check out.
I get the whole saber thing but honestly, that doesn’t necessarily fit in with the AR that’s being proposed. That said, I do wish Blizzard hadn’t just written off the saberon from WoD. I am actually mad there isn’t a feral form glyph to change the cat form back to saberon form as well.
I have a hunch that saberon may have something in the future but doesn’t necessarily tie to the night elves at all.
It is interesting to note that there are saberon and botani both on Kalimdor now. I’m wondering if there was a specific reason for that or what.
Hah!
Say Night Elven Worgen get added in.
You have the horde taking note of how vicious they are.
Reports of a small tribe or Saberon living near Durotar…delegates are sent including a Nightborne mage.
Nightborne Mage takes notice…starts thinking about their mana sabers and the ferocity of the NE Worgen/Worgen.
NIghtborne mage proceeds to make his own magical curse afflicting some Nightborne into a saberon form but with the arcane body runes like the mana sabers…
I feel like they definitely need two forms as lore does support it. That being said making their Night Elf forms more rugged with canine characteristics would be favorable.
Ah! I did not know this as I am more of an Alliance player and not really dealt much with horde stuff.
Though this actually brings up something VERY INTERESTING!
That leak I spoke of earlier (again no credibility or confirmation of the leak but has thusfar been completely accurate so far) spoke that the Horde would get a troll-cat humanoid as an allied race. Perhaps the saberon could actually be a factor to this! Again, just a leak, nothing confirmed though this is very interesting indeed!
If you think about it, Trolls did have many wild cat loas and did turn into humanoid beasts like the bosses in ZG and ZA. Not to mention… Trolls are the progenitors of the Night Elves and cats seem more jungle themed that fall in line with troll aesthetics.
It’s a blink and miss it type of thing during the Mag’har recruitment quest.
When they teleport everyone to Durotar, if you have the camera set right, you can see some botani and saberon run off into the distance…so there were some stowaways.
I don’t remember a lot about the Saberon’s culture, but being tribal, I could see the darkspear befriending them.
I may have missed the bit about the leak, is there a link or anything or more info on it?
Unfortunately it was taken down rather quickly. It was on a reddit page and it outlined literally everything that was going to happen this expansion. Not so much in full detail. I won’t spoil some of the stuff it says in case it is true but so far, it’s been pretty spot on.
Some things it mentioned were that vulpera, mechagnomes, the cat-like troll race, and the lightforged undead were becoming allied races this expansion. They said that the worgen rework was happening between 8.2-8.3 (which was then LATER confirmed at Blizzcon). They mentioned Gilneas will become a 120 zone, not a warfront. Of course, some of the stuff with Azshara, who dies, etc etc.
