Besides for adding another healer almost nothing changed. So a lot changed.

I need an answer. In your opinion, do you think a hunter/warlock can tank better than pets? Weâre not talking about private server numbers, no secret tactics. Basically, what we have access to from Classic (spellbook, talents,etcâŚ).
Iâve said it a dozen times, if I class doesnât have a taunt ( stoneclaw doesnât count) then itâs not a tank. Just accept it and move on or reroll a class that can tank.

Half the time I end up tanking something in raid /shrug less of an intentional thing now though.

Heâs also taking 400-550 more DTPS then average tanks do, you could literally just one heal this and add another dps.

Demo locks spamming searing pain are better tanks than shamans.
Shaman tanks are great. I will be happy to use them on Vashj to kite the stalkers. They also donât need any special gear to do that! Itâs wonderful.
Now if you think im gonna bring a shaman tank to hydross youâre trolling.
Doesnât have to be a troll. Could also be an Orc or a Tauren. Tauren might be better since theyâve got that increased health.
Nah youâd want a troll. Hydross isnât about how much you can tank and more about how much snap threat you can toss out when phase changes. You would need it if healers are needing to pump high amounts of heals into you.
If shamans donât have high snap threat and the dps are being threat capped then they probably arenât good for hydross.
Dear tanky shamans (or whoever), make videos of you tanking each heroic dungeon as a TANK, not a KITER, and link them.

Iâd want a Tauren for that Nature Resist!
The small amount of nature res wouldnât change anything. Itâs not enough to knock off a green nature res piece for more damage/uncrit. Now if tauren got higher amounts of nature res youâd be in luck. Shamans would likely need to go frost res tank and get polar gear out of naxx since they canât get crafted lvl 70 - aside from jewelry.
They would likely gear for hydross identical to a feral druid but lose the ability to deal more damage when in nature phase.
But I did the math. Every little bit helps.
iâm down to talk about the possibilities of shaman tanking but thereâs a point that it sounds like trolling. Trying to do nature res tank and arguing against frost res definitely pushes the envelope.
