Yes. And take the “tanks all over the place” out of it. Sub brd shaman are really fine, maybe even better in some instances with the ranged interrupt.
Too much oxy imho.
No, he just told you how the item could be used in ways other than what you said they could be used. Not much more complicated than that.
I believe that happens in the video I posted. Several times. Great way to establish some initial threat.
But wait, he basically told you this:
It was in direct response to this kind of comment. I feel like you’re just repeating your last comment because you don’t like the fact that Caperfin was telling you how he made Stoneclaw work to his advantage as a tank.
Maybe, there’s any number of scenarios tanks find themselves in where they have to adapt. That’s why Caperfin said this word:
As far as I know, you can alternate between various totems depending on what you need. But I may be mistaken.
But he didn’t make it work to his advantage for the exact reasons Norse explained. This is like having an annoying child argue with you about how to do something properly and they tell you some long winded and complicated nonsense to get the result they want… and you just go over and take 1 sec of non-effort to do the exact same thing.
Caperfinians are the silliest things ever.
But he did, because Norse didn’t take all scenarios into account during the simulations.
Hey, now, that’s no way to talk to Norse. I’m sure his heart is in the right place.
Enigmuh said it best:
This guy said it best:
Sure, you can rotate totems, but a pull isn’t a terribly long window, the GCD severely limits your available actions before mobs are in your face. Since the only spell in the kit that generates additional threat is frost shock, that also is going to need a GCD.
My initial response was to someone claiming Stoneclaw WAS a taunt. I was correcting bad info, but in general its still a next to useless “tool”, guessing you are focusing on this rather moot point than addressing the greater problem that the group is reliant on two mages spamming imp blizzards to kite adds, because the “tank” can’t maintain threat or even survive multiple adds in a pull.
Acted like he’d never been here before and ignored everything detrimental to his narrative:
hundreds? omg I wish.
When it comes to shaman tanking, for the most part it’s me just pointing out stuff and telling people “try it”.
And later they come back saying they’re surprised at the tanking potential of a shaman.
If you want to define that as Caperfinian…sure?
Shamans tank all the time! They open with trinkets, racials and cooldowns all before the concecration. It only lasts about 3 seconds before they die, but they were indeed tanking
Irrelevant, most bosses are not Taunt-able. And there are ways to pseudo-Taunt as a Shaman if need be.
A shaman can effortlessly tank Scholo too. We did it back in the original classic days without issues.
Stop trying to make shaman tank happen, it’s bad and you should feel bad for pushing it.
I do know, sometimes I just hold myself to a high standard. I question myself, if I don’t play ced class for a week.
Especially, consider things can change from one week to another. I have to login to double check, therefore, I use “I think”.
Wait, are you seriously saying a Walker/pets can tank better than a Hunter/Warlock?
or you want the numbers to clearly see a Hunter/Warlock has more tanking potential than pets? I never thought, I’d need numbers to prove this…
Then you’d find the information before posting and bumping a month-old thread.
No. I called out your lack of ability to say so because you frequently make vague assertions you can never support.
This is theorycrafting, everything is subject to proving up. Theft servers really did allow anyone to get away with anything and call it whatever they wanted…
this falls under
“if it sounds like a dumb idea, it probably is”
best of luck out there little shammy.
Not really true, we had a shaman tank all of MC just cause we were bored waiting on the next patch and he didnt die a single time… it was pretty fun… took 1 extra healer but it was pretty much no difference in any other tank.
no thank you
