Alliance Rogues sapping Runthak

Pretty sure that counts for every aoe in this game. The visuals are not accurate

You cant get close enough to execute sap, you need stealth, and some how flare breaks stealth and deactivates sap instantly, just like a lot of CC’s like charge and cheap shot seem to ignore batching. Its like they are instantly responsive on some CC’s and breaks on things like stealth but other things are not responsive at all.

Like I gouged to prevent a cast, he had rupture on him also and the rupture did not break the gouge on the first tick, it took 2 to break it, that’s busted and it always broke in vanilla soon as the target took damage, the batching system is flawed at best.

On topic, flare and traps are 100% capable of stopping a rogue from doing what the OP talks about happening.

I might try this tonight actually

Why is it we always think only one faction is shtty to each other? This has been happening nonstop on many servers for weeks.

Just like dispelling of world buffs. It definitely DEFINITELY is NOT one sided and both factions relish doing it to each other.

I think it’s a question of how tall the hitbox is on AoEs/flares. I will say that you can batch a charge to use a technically in combat charge; you can also batch CC at a charge to CC the warrior and cut the charge short while the charge stun is in effect on the charged target.

Flare AE actual is 100% larger radius than displayed, you cannot get within range to use sap.

But is it a flat circle hitbox that assumes everything is no taller than jumping height, or does it have a very tall hitbox for breaking stealth?

I think I have bothered to read 2 quests…one of them was the eranikus ST quest that mysteriously just…ends without a completion quest. That was the end of me caring about quest texts/RP.

This is awesome imo, and i play horde

You know there is the EXACT same thing for rogues to do so to the alliance right? we have been having 1-3 rogues during each reset who will just sit in SW on the arches above the NPC waiting for it. This is nothing special.

In the attempt at the 3:50 mark there’s a trap down that goes off after the sap hits. Perhaps it was just badly placed but someone tried a trap that presumably didn’t work.

Pain the area with flares, they will never able to get any place near it.

Strange, no Horde outrage when this was being done to Alliance. Horde can sap both quest givers for Alliance side. Alliance can’t even do anything to Saurfang because he’s immune.

Either you make all the NPC’s immune to CC or you don’t.

It’s ok that not everything is immediately obvious to a new player.

That’s part of the experience of being, you know, new to something.

Also, there are many things that are “disruptive.” Such as killing an enemy player, at any time. That disrupts their play. You’re still unconvincing.

Is dying disruptive to gameplay or is it part of the gameplay itself? Your example is ridiculous because you don’t have a basic understanding of what’s disruptive and what’s gameplay. Turning in a quest, getting the reward, and activating an RP event is gameplay. Getting killed by another player is gameplay. Killing another player is gameplay. Interrupting an NPC to negate an RP event is disruptive. Nice to see that being smug still directly correlates with being wrong.

  1. horde can do the same thing to Mattingly/Afrasiabi

  2. just spam aoe spells on runthak when the buff is going out. this has become common practice on my server.

Hell I would not cry over it if they made them 100% immune to all forms of CC including MC, and make them ?? Raid bosses with 5million HP.

Keep it up, World buff nerds can slowly die inside…
