there needs to be a high elf tax on these forums
If I had to choose one of the 2, I’d choose Sethrak because I’m happy enough playing my “High Elf” Belf DK. I’d like it better though if we got both and Sethrak were neutral like Pandarens.
Stillpine Furblog from the Pandaren skeleton.
Because High Elves are only ever coming when WoW is in its true death throes and it’s a last ditch attempt by Blizz to boost sub numbers.
And the Furblogs - especially Stillpine Furblogs - have long been Alliance supporters.
If they wanted to be bold they could make it undead variants of all of the races. That would be inline with Sylvanas raising anyone and everyone she wanted.
The collective shouts of “horde bias” would be deafening though.
Saberon, Saurok, or Sethrak from the Worgen skeleton would be cool, and I’d definitely roll one. At this point, I couldn’t care less what the Horde gets.
Well the OP specifically said “High Elf or Sethrak?” in their post so I picked the one of those two I would rather see happen. Perhaps he intended it to be more open with race selection but there was no mention specifically about using alliance allied races based available unused skeletons.
In any case Alliance High Elves is the allied race I’d most like to see made playable.
Half Elf and Half Dragon.
and not to sound like a broken record, but baby yoda as a race (omygosh he’s cute. he’s a little reptile with bunny rabbit ears lol). anyway, on a more serious note: i like the idea of both half elves and half dragons, provided the half dragons use elf as its base.
here’s an example. this is the elf avatar of soridormi, the consort of nozdormu
my favorite parts are the prismatic claws and headdress.
Would prefer to have a longer list to choose from, but if I had to pick one of those two… High Elves. Alliance needs “balanced” male body types more than it does weird/quirky races. Void Elves and (mecha)gnomes are your options right now if you want an Alliance guy character that’s not roided out of his mind and also want to not be short or blue… well, you’re stuck.
Saberon might be ok but personally speaking I’d prefer Wildhammer over them. That could change if Saberon got a nice chunk of story to establish them as characters, but right now they’re just those weird elite beast dudes we killed for dailies.
they look cool but imo they rely too heavily on transmog.
They look like a Blood elf in BfA questing mog
vulpera. Screw you blizzard for making us torch their caravans. i wanted a standard mmorpg cute-furry race on the alliance!
The horde is there and you can cuddle them all you like there
i will, but i’ll be doing it under protest.
…man does this suck… i wanted a new short race… not walking trashcans…
We did the same thing. We also ended the Faithless war, and brought back their God.
I know the Alliance has crappy ARs, but the Sethrak would make the most sense as a Horde AR.
it will be worth it.
I’ve spent the last month or so on PTR playing as one and I love it so much.
They say that and then pop Void Elves out of nowhere… the only thing I’ve pieced together about Blizzard’s rules on ARs is that there are no rules and they’re just doing whatever they feel like.
That being said, IF they’re still following their rule that ARs are based on lore I’m still putting my money on High Elves (A) and Forsaken Night Elves (H) for 8.3.5/9.0. Vereesa utilizing her Silver Covenant High Elves with Alleria to hunt down Sylvanas and the Forsaken Night Elves being the focus on rebuilding the Forsaken forces and identity.
Neither of these fit the paradigm. Each Allied Race is paired with an existing race of similar in size, shape, and background. The final unpaired Alliance race is Worgen, and the closest new race that fits is the Ankoan. That’s my bet on the final race.
Sethrak use the female worgen skeleton so they fit it perfectly
except it won’t be worth it, cause the entire time i’ll be saying ‘man… i sure do wish i could hang-out and chat with my buddies… a shame they’re all on the ALLIANCE’.
