The male Kul Tiran model is based on a very, very modified male Pandaren model. It has even a few of the same animations, as the fear and one of the channel animations.
I don’t want to see the Devoted suddenly telling the Horde council to screw off and joining the Alliance after all the Horde did for them, and I don’t see the Faithless joining the Alliance without substantial buildup, either, but I get that sethrak are effectively the most requested new race now that the Alliance got their pseudo high elves. I’m playing both sides here, but it’s not BfA anymore. Neither group is relevant right now and probably won’t be in the foreseeable future because Blizzard scarcely makes old zones relevant again, and when they do, it’s years later and/or we’re not in them for long.
This is it. After the Horde’s questing experience in Vol’dun, a fair number of Horde players would be a bit insulted to see this race that they saved from enslavement/utter destruction turn on the Horde and ignore the player’s past accomplishments because the playerbase willed it.
Shower thought: in an ideal scenario, Blizzard goes with my idea for 10.0 or later introducing a new group of sethrak that either joins both factions, or just the Alliance while the Devoted are pushed to officially join the Horde. Both factions get their own sethrak, and they share the same customizations and classes so it doesn’t end up as another blood elf vs. void elf scenario where both sides are at each other’s throats all the time.
I really don’t think anyone Horde-side would care if Sethrakk were a playable Alliance race.
(I also doubt many Alliance players would play one…)
Did someone provide information as to the derivation of the data on that site?
I didn’t find anything on their methodology.
But check out their hoppin’ forum section.
I’ll play Horde if the Horde get Sethrak.
I’ve got a kinda…bad feeling that since we help the Sethrak during the vulpera questline and as far as I can see we do so more than the alliance… they might give Sethrak to Horde. Which if they do will only be throwing fuel onto that whole “Blizzard favors the Horde” theory people got which… I’ve kinda given up on debating lately. I mean I’d love it if they would realize they didn’t make getting the Mecha-done achievement easier and truly do make it simpler as I’d love to be a vulpera in a monowheel mount. kinda addicted to motorcycles like the mechagon monowheels after playing through Borderlands 3 and running over bandits lol

Exactly. As much as I’d love to have Alliance Sethrak this large lore issue needs to be addressed.
Making remnant Faithless go for the Alliance after the Horde has taken in the Devoted seems the most plausible way to get it done to me.

The underground “empire” of the Sethrak is supposed to be quite large. Surely there is more division than Faithless and Devoted somewhere to get it done.

Years of conversations with players both Alliance and Horde over Sethrak tell me otherwise.
True some wont care. But thats always the case with these things. Some folk just don’t have that interest. Which is entirely fine too.
There’s a big difference between saying “yeah I want playable sethrakk!” on the forums (which takes 5 seconds) and actually spending time in game playing one.
WoW players do a lot of “I want a pony!” talking, but don’t actually end up wanting to do what they were asking for when the time comes.
If they won’t give us snake people give us Saberon…it would be a ‘monster’ race and some DID escape onto Azeroth when the Mag’har were brought over.
A skinny kul’tiran is a human no?
basically yeah except they wouldn’t look like hulk hogan. plus the skinny kul tiran models were datamined and thought to be really cool. would add a lot of flavor imo to the alliance that it really really needs. cause birds wolves and space goats are all pretty horrible.
They need a hello kitty race imo.
Sethrak would fit better on horde. And have a whole united Zandalar, the alliance better fits would be stuff like Satyrs, Dryads, Ethereals, Ankoan, Slyvar/Vorkal.
Blizzard nerfed alliance allied races.
it’s just a crime we haven’t seen a single reptilian player race yet. A staple of high fantasy.
Drakonid, Naga, Saurok, Sethrak ect.
Instead we’ve got 4 flavors of elf and more fur covered races than anyone even imagined.
What you say is very true, but in all honesty if Sethrak Horde or Alliance becomes playable you’d bet I’d make a Shaman, get to lvl 50 for heritage armour and I’d race change in a heartbeat.
I have a few planned depending on classes available.

Wait until you hear about the Nightborne!
I still say too many alliance players are snobs. The mech gnome looks good to me and has zero problems with playing them. They like archaic cyborgs. the kul’tiran is one of the most interesting races to come out. Thier druid forms rock the place. They also make good pirate rp. Alliance needs to stop this hatered of something differnt.
