Alliance finally had a single advantage in a raid

Yeah except these bleeds can still be removed by immunities. Just not the Dwarf racial.

Except it;s the first time in the history of the game that they’ve ever done it. Previously if your racial gave you a benefit in the raid (see Troll racial on Jaina, Belf racial on Zul, goblin racial on Kil’Jaeden, hell even going back to Tauren hitbox cheesing Lady VashJ striders in TBC), then that was just your good luck.

So for the first time an Alliance racial turns out to be an advantage in a raid encounter, they nerf it.

Yep, one of the most prominent Alliance guilds at the time transferred to Horde - one of the reasons specifically being the rocket jump on Priests as they had no other form of instant mobility?

And also Beast Slaying in ToT…

And it wasn’t supposed to. It should have been nerfed as well. Just because something was excluded / missed out doesn’t mean we should repeat the problem. They’re catching and addressing it now. You’ll be fine.

Except from what I understand it’s unprecedented, which is the problem. It was also a racial that was nerfed before release.

Are people really mad that Blizzard is fixing something that wasn’t working as intended while it’s in the beta? Are we really being mad that they actually are polishing the game before release for change? Is that a thing now? So before we was angry because they didn’t polish the game and listen to testers. And now we are mad because they are.

So how exactly can Blizzard make people happy?

So Alliance had TWO races that could use it for that fight, whereas Horde only had one.

Call me crazy, but a racial ability that removes and renders the user immune to, among other things, bleed effects removing a bleed effect is working exactly as intended.

It wasn’t intended for the raid for balance reasons most likely. Just how you can dispel magic but there is tons of magic that can’t be dispelled.

Eh, whilst I agree, the situations are different. Purging the minions of Zul is the intended mechanic of the fight, Blood Elves racial simply helped with that.
As opposed to the fights in castle Nathria in which dealing with the bleeds and their consistent damage is the intended mechanic.

So whilst one helps you achieve the mechanics easier, the other skips them entirely.

Again, not saying I agree, but I understand why it was done. Also important to note that they have only said “some” bleeds, which means those classes and that covenant will still be very useful, just not game breaking.

I think it’s more dumb if they are leaving it as a bleed and not just uncategorizing the debuff if they don’t want it removed… now it’s all confusing when someone will try to remove it thinking it should work as the abilities say they do.

Dwarfs could’ve used the love too… :frowning:

I mean… can they just nerf and destroy racials already? It’s 2020. No modern game has racials that actually make that much of a difference in a raid.

They should have left it in given how badly skewed the factions are right now, maybe some top mythic guilds switching for WF race would help out the rest of the player base.

Agreed really. It’s silly to have an ability that can remove a specific source but not being able to remove all that source type. They need a catagory they never give a dispel type to and they place all these types of spells into it.

After looking at the OP’s post history I have concluded they are a helfer, good job keeping up the stereotype OP :white_check_mark:

Of course.
I may be in the minority here, but I think if a racial ability happens to be effective against a particular mechanic in a raid it should be let to be rather than altered, at least outside of Mythic difficulty. I have no stake nor care for one to hold in the races for World First.

This is where I’m at. I don’t care that this is happening, but kind of a shame we won’t see a bunch of Dwarf FotM rerollers. We needed a Dwarven wave :stuck_out_tongue:

It makes sense, but it likely wasn’t intended to be something removable. It pains me to say this group of developers are so detached from the game they likely forgot those things even was in the game or was going to be in the game because they don’t talk to eachother.

Oh WOW Alliance have 2 Darkspear Troll racial while Horde only have 1 Darkspear Troll racial in the fight where it actually matters.

ALLIANCE BIAS!!

It could help the Alliance if top guilds transferred for the racial (I mean the ones who care), because the masses tend to follow their idols sometimes which is exactly what started the mass exodus to Horde.
